I must have missed a day in class when they taught that two wrongs make a right. Ultimately I don't see it as that much of a deal. I've always stated that 10% of people probably never play the game after downloading, simply because when they hit 'Play' it says 'This username (name) already exists.'.. That alone is enough for some people to say forget about it. Then there's the default graphics options cluttering the screen. Kill messages, enter messages, leave messages, too many stars/background images.. I mean c'mon... When you install Continuum on a new computer and log in - it looks horrible. A collective effort to send the correct player counts for each zone to directory servers can be accomplished, but would probably take a bit of time due the inactivity of a few people.

Jab, if you have established contact with the creator of the original ships...have you asked him how much he would charge to simply make them AGAIN - with today's standards? He would be the man for the job. He would be able to give us exactly what we want without having to instruct him.

Thee may be too low. Granted we all know what happens when high experience players have the ability to team up in numbers. Instead I'd like them to be able to group up but be constantly challenged. If a private team of 6 regardless of experience/money can defend a base against two teams of 15, for example, we can then lower it to 4 and ask them to do it again But then again, I suppose I don't even support this idea. Things now are good.

I think I know what he's saying. Hyperspace doesn't appear to have anything worth squadding for lately. We used to have squads, mainly for private frequencies but that created a thing called 'veteran dominance' which basically destroyed the fun for newcomers. That may be the reason staff decided to remove private frequencies. If I remember correctly, the first action from staff was limiting the size of private frequencies. It was around 8 max and went down to maybe 4-5? And then 3ish?.. I would really like to see private frequencies and squads revived. Given the population of public at times, a 7 ship private frequency is fair but there should be a dynamic maxplayer cap that depends on the size of the public frequencies at any given time.

Got ridiculous waiting. I closed the terminal (which closed Discretion) and tried to re-launch, and again, no error log. The terminal does flash for a split second though, caught a tangible screenshot. See below.

Didn't click zones, just saw experimental warfare and hit play and it said "Error in copyfile: Cannot open destination file, './Modules/FrontEnd/Discretion. exe'. ERROR: CHECK FOR UPDATES FAILED; ABORTING LAUNCH!" Exited Discretion, tried to re-open Discretion.bat, just a blink and nothing launches. No error log. Letting it sit this time, again, stops at 318464 bytes.

i guess he got caught in a guy named halbanero's ban. i just don't understand why there's 2 banid's and he's only banned in TW and HS .. the TW issue is fixed by a tw mod and now xanith can enter. he doesn't play HS so that's no big deal yea he uses wine

No reason why he is banned, BanId #20263 - His name is XaNiTH He can connect to any ssc zone except for TW and HS, the BanID for HS is different - BanID #567 Please look into this.
