  1. Good deal.
  2. Like Hak said, 1.I don't have paypal 2.I don't have extra money anyways 3.There is no data (yet) linking advertisements with more players.
  3. Unfortunately because currently creatix is unable to do anything continuum related until sometime in february, so I do not have access to SSCC The CompleX.
  4. Very much thanks to Ciel, who helped me test! We found a few bugs/glitches/problems that I can start working on now. With just us 2 we were able to have fun for over an hour in a zone that is meant for 10+ players... that says a lot. I really hope we can get a bunch of people in there one of these days... Edit: It appears that "Ciel" doesn't have an account here on ssforums. Unless he's hiding an alias, it was pure luck and coincidence that he showed up
  5. Well, for the most part it was abandoned.. at least until about 2 moths ago .
  6. SSCC The CompleX is finally ready for the first round of testing. Yes, it's hard to believe. Thursday (tomorrow) is when it will be happening, from 7-8 eastern time. Testing would pretty much just consist of playing in the zone so I can make sure that the logic functions properly and stable. If you'd like to help me out and play a sweet zone doing it, let me know. P.S. Oh, and the zone we are in right now is PSS TC24, not SSCC The CompleX.

    Base Hunt

^ i like how there are lots of splits in that base.
  8. haircut, health form on file?, chem lab, chem chapter work, study for spanish test/spanish hw, pack for trip, calc homework, calc test, submit scholarship application, been too long since last blog entry, finish ski bindings, wax skis, oil change... yet somehow i end up playing continuum.
  9. @xog:why click on the ads? you're just wasting the funds.
  10. On the "get sucked in" graphic may I suggest that you rotate one of the ships to make it look more like they are actually getting sucked in. Right now it looks like they are flying into it.
  11. Good idea. I believe that this is possible.
  12. I'm trying to move multiple lvz at once, and when you select multiple lvz, it sets object id to 1. This is only a "bug" when you select more than 1 lvz.
  13. I really like Samapico's idea of having different achievements for each zone. Once you max out the achievements in your favorite zone, you would be (naturally, NOT FORCED) intrigued to see if you can obtain achievements in other zones. Another benefit to having achievements is players get a better idea of what each zone is all about. If you were to see "earning 1 million dollars" achievement under HS, you already know that you can earn money and that could be the selling point alone.
  14. I can back up BD.
  15. I want to know what you all think of this. I'm not sure if this whole ssdev thing is still going, but I want to keep it quiet while getting some valid input and this seemed to be the best spot. It is of course another zone idea. It seems like fun and that it would work in my head, but another person's views may find loopholes and problems. Main idea: It is based off of star wars battlefront. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJTOduOWoNA . The important parts are the command points (one is being captured at 44 seconds in vide). Players are spawned at any one of the command points their team owns. If all command points are taken by one team, the other team cannot spawn, and the remaining players must take a command point (cp), or their team loses. On top of all of this, each team only has x number of respawns. This means that each time a team member dies, your team loses a respawn. Once you reach 0, only the remaining players are your chance to win. The winning team is the one that elimates all enemy players, either through taking all the command points, thus not allowing other team to respawn, or killing other team in that they have no respawns left. Porting to continuum/my additions:There would have to be a few changes (imo) to port this to 2d continuum. 1.)In the video, you noticed that when players spawn they select the cp they want to spawn at graphically. In continuum, players would spawn in a safe completely out of the map and enclosed. From the safe there would be 5 portals for each cp that they could enter. Using ASSS regions, if the player owned the warper to the correlating cp, they would then spawn there. 2.)Because basing is so much fun, I thought it'd be a good idea to put the cp's at the end of a small base (see attached sketch). Pros: basing Cons: takes longer to get to cp and capture 3.)To add a little more strategy, a little bit of warping would be added. ?to would warp you to the relevant cp #, given that you own it. this can only be used when in a cp or in safe. Pros: more strategy, quicker movement b/w cp's, allows you to warp to an owned cp that is being taken by opposing team (there is a graphical radar of all cps. when a cp is owned it is a solid color of that team, when it is being captured or decaptured it is a blinking color of owning team). Cons: makes running easy. I'm sorry if this is hard to understand, it is a little complex. I will attach the map i had worked out (just a rough sketch). Do you think that this gameplay style would work? Thanks for any feedback. map: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3649986/image0-4.jpg
  16. You should also note (if you haven't already) that it often fixes the issue by Right clicking->"Run as administrator", as it did for me on Windows 7.
  17. ssme runs under wine in linux... except attempting to create a new/opening a .lvl instantly crashes it. it crashes when i press file->new or file->open it doesn't crash in file->open until i actually open a .lvl through an openfiledialog.
  18. I've done some searching for a linux map editor and all I could find was dusted's map editor that is VERY limited compared to DCME. I've tried running DCME in wine with no luck. Is their any modern lvl editors for linux? Is it possible to run DCME in wine? Thanks.
  19. purge, maybe we will be successful this time around.
  20. What is brilliant?
  21. Actually you can ask questions and comment without registerring. Maybe that's why nobody registers haha. It's useful when people register though because then I have an email for notifications of new comments.
  22. Thanks again. Ill check out other fonts. The biggest problem is that everyone says it's great(most people), but nobody creates an account and actually comes back later.
