I have been in contact with the company that owns the name. I, through my company, offered to purchase the name for a client, about a month ago. They quite politely told me that they unfortunately are not interested in parting with the name at this time, but if in the future they do decide to sell the domain name, they will keep my business on record as a prospective buyer. AKA - Forget getting the name.

On a private owned forum there is no such thing as freedom of speach. Your freedom is limited to what the owners of the forums deem acceptable, and in this case it was not the content, merely the amount of space it occupied.

Continuum is not run for free, lots of people have spent time and money on this game. Also when you have employees who are in and out of unions, what benefits union employees sometimes hurts the non union employees. Unions do have a good side, but they also have a bad side.

Unions have their ups and downs. A major issue with unions is that promotions and raises are not based off of performance. They're based off of tenure. That can become a huge issue. I chose not to join the union at my employer, and right now they're having a problem. They have loads of old union employees that do nothing, and they can't fire them because they're protected by the union. So they're doing a m!@#$%^&* early retirement offer to try to clear some dead weight. When unions start hurting the productivity of a company, beyond strikes even, they have failed.

!@#$%^&* if you guys want to start a fund to give me money I'm all for it. Please give Veg money, Veg likes money No Prit didn't create subspace, but he did do a large part of the creation of continuum, so being he is the co-creator of what subspace has become it wasn't too off of a statement. I'm sorry for insulting Prit by !@#$%^&*ociating him with VIE. As for calling me a plebian, I'll actually take that as a complement. Plebians are middle class - lower class people. I am not upper class lol and I highly doubt that many, if any people in the "subspace universe" can be considered "upper class" by financial means. I'm perfectly happy being middle class, even in rome plebians could gain considerable weath and pull, quite a lot of plebians actually became senators in rome, while still being middle class. In fact I dare say that the united states has been built by the middle class. Being middle class still gives you the ability to make large sums of money, and yet still have a family. There are some things in life worth more than a seven digit paycheck. I personally enjoy only working 8-5, having my weekends off, not having to work over time, not having to leave my family and home to travel all over the country for the sake of a job I'd most likely hate. BTW when can I start seeing revenue from that fund?

In fact I specifically said that he owns it and can do what he wants with it. Second buying a domain name for a free game at a rediculously high price vs creating said game are on two completely different events with vastly different constraints. Now there is something amusing. I just have a hard time respecting someone paying in the realm or above $5000.00 for a domain that is non business related. If I heard someone in the SS community paid the same amount to get it back from him I'd have just as little respect for them. No matter how much money you have there are many other better things to do with $5000.00. If you have a ton of money and need to spend it somehow, at least buy a mcdonalds, or a pizza hut, or a senator for that matter.

Anyone else notice that galactic melee is alarming similar to subspace and continuum lol just in 3d. He owns the domain, he can really do what ever he wants with it. I forget what he states he paid for it, something like 5k, so honestly he has an attachment to it. Let him have it. No use arguing over it now. I don't believe there are absolute evils or absolute goods. And I do believe in a balance. We need a balance to survive. In all things. As for your post ail, yes things are getting warmer, but they will then get colder. The planet has been much hotter than it is today, and after every peak of heat, comes an ice age. There may not always be a direct balance, note that there is definately an abundance of what would be considered good by most in the world. But there must be both. Good and evil are simply based off of morals.
