Yep, and it so happens that not only did pay-to-play help kill SubSpace, but did the same for the games that were spawned from it. The minute Cosmic Rift and Infantry went pay-to-play, their pops died off. So in the end, I don't see what makes Galactic Melee so different that it'll be able to avoid the same fate.

Have you tried renaming your file names? (2-1.gif is a weird name imo) Or it could be the fact that they're .gif (just try changing the extension)

Ok, I'll call Syrus out on it. @Syrus: You being a vewy naughty boy... But then again... he is right, why redirect something like SubSpace(.net) to a pay-to-play game? It kind of defeats the purpose, and it'll never work in the end. So basically, 'way to help out the community'...

I couldn't recreate everything LC found, but some of it (such as copy-paste in the tileedit menu) I did notice however, when you import a source image in the tileset editor, and copy it unto your tileset, then once you try to move that piece somewhere else, it goes completely blank. (in other words, drag a part of the source image unto the tileset, and drag that part once again somewhere else on the tileset it goes blank.). It doesn't bother me, but it would be nice if I could use ctrl+z. I also noticed the thing with the larger special tiles such as wormhole, they're resized to a 16x16 tile. But when you draw a line, they're 32x32. It's pretty useful when trying to do some nifty tricks with the tiles, but not always useful. The only other weird problem !@#$%^&*ociated with 16x16 tiles, is when you set it to ignore special tiles; add one (e.g. wormhole), then place other tiles around it, but then place a tile (or erase) on the special tile, all the surrounding tiles are also erased. I've never actually tested most of the features, so it's pretty nifty. edited for rewording :/ edit#2: DCME also always crashes when you close it :S

Since I can't bump the topic; it would be a shame to have larrythehamster's banner go to waste, and the website ( http://deva.sscentral.com ) has been untouched for ages... Even though it's not #1 priority (what is?), we should still add a little bit about Deva, and screenshots at the least. The rest is easy work (except for the top players & stuff in the side menu). And while I'm making this topic, I might as well add more... Last time I proposed we organize a sort of league-tournament, which this time wouldn't go to die because we need to get the staff involved (just incase Deva's mafia comes and kidnaps me like the others, someone needs to continue it lol.) I could still prepare the tournament, and talked about it with tm_master a whiles back, but we need to know if anyone's interested in participating. And all ideas are welcomed, so we can make it a little more interesting And to end my rant, set up a permanent credits bot

Can you provide a screenshot? I can't tell if you're talking about in-game (if this, your resolution is set too big in Continuum) or the main menu (and if this, why can't you drag it somewhere else?). ps: What OS?

Ok, you can ignore me, after a reboot it seems some of the .lvl files were un!@#$%^&*ociated with DCME while some other ones were (for some weird reason it's possible :S). So through DCME I just re-!@#$%^&*igned .lvl files to it and it seems to have fixed the problem.

I am an administrator, and the thing is, it only happens when you load up map files (not directly opening the .exe file) edit: as I said, if I load DCME directly (not the map file) I won't get any error, but the map file will. So changing permissions of dcme.exe doesn't change a thing. :S

Ok, I've got what I think is a Windows Vista specific error, since it happened in 3.1.1 too. I haven't thoroughly tested much, just noticed this. I can't prove that it's a registry problem, but my post was based solely off someone else's response once. Anyhow, you can try Eusing free registry cleaner (it's pretty good). You should still check your firewalls, or check for alternate viruses.

Pulls out file error book So you basically need to do a fresh install of Continuum, first uninstall the whole game and !@#$%^&*ociated files. Run a registry cleaner to make sure it isn't corrupted there. * Reinstall Continuum (from an alternative source). * *Note: Where I put the stars, you'll probably want to reboot your computer just to make sure. Edit: But I've never heard of it jumping around in the processes and then having fatal error; which might mean that a firewall is blocking Continuum. Don't forget that Windows XP has a built-in firewall, so you may want to try temporarily disabling that and see if it works.

I am against 'using your religion to reason your actions', especially when it comes to 'religious wars'. yeah, but the problem is that Deva already uses all the bomb levels and thor too, so how do you create a superior 1-shot-kill?
