  1. On another note, is the server really SSCY, or did you mean SSCW? I'm not familiar with historical things, which is why I ask. And while I'm at it, can I request that "Subspace History" be renamed "SubSpace History" in the navbar (just to keep consistency). I also found this pdf do!@#$%^&*ent that relates to SubSpace's history, perhaps it could be of use to whoever wants to write that article.
  2. lol I didn't bother looking at the rest , but I suppose they did the same when copying Infogrames. And just to add to the confusion, under "WIKICHEATS", it sends you to a page about the game called "The Continuum", which isn't even released.
  3. It's called Alpha Waves (aka Continuum), http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_Waves Just tell them to change the name to avoid confusion with our game's name.
  4. Alright, and I had just crossed this post earlier yesterday, so I'll post this for when you return: Hope this or one of the other above posts helps.
  5. Moving thread to SSC Network
  6. If you want to add things to categories, just create the page and add "[[Category:Servers]]" (or replace Servers by another category name)
  7. Why unable to edit? Would be useful for fixing typos such as 17th Parallell
  8. I had all my lights out, but it was disappointing to see 99% of my neighbourhood still lit. I don't think most people even knew about it around here.
  9. ^Because people are lazy, and won't bother to waste money immediately when their perfectly good light bulbs still work, even though in the long term it'll save them money. Others are just sceptical about everything.
  10. Yeah, Rootbear had written a whole faq about this, I don't know who or why it was removed. But in the end, whether you do it this way or disable the UAC, they both work the same way: you're giving yourself actual rights, where Vista tries to protect you from yourself. Actually though, a simpler way would have been to not install Continuum in C:\Program Files\, since that's where you're going to end up with write problems.
  11. It certainly makes more sense than having 200+ guests reading the forums. :/
  12. I heard about it; my city (Ottawa) is participating, although I don't think many people actually know about it.
  13. Find a program called "Regedit" on your computer (you can probably find it by using the 'run' command) Windows' Registry Editor should appear. Find the Continuum folder (either through the menu, edit>find, or if your registry is like mine, it should be in HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Continuum) Open the folder en!@#$%^&*led 'State', and edit the registries ResolutionX and ResolutionY (double click, select 'decimal', and enter any values such as '800' and '600') Press ok, and then try opening Continuum and entering directly into a zone (don't change anything in Continuum, or your registry will be changed).
  14. Standard British/Canadian spelling has it "!@#$%^&*ised" [1] [2]
  15. I know Doc Flabby or someone else mentioned this somewhere, but in your Continuum folder there should be a file called "profile.dat". Open this (using WordPad) and edit the line "resolution = ". Put something valid such as "resolution = 1280x800", and tell me if this works. Some zones such as Trench Wars have a limit on how large the screen resolution can be, other zones don't. If you don't like having things stretched in fullscreen mode, then I'd also suggest setting your resolution options to windowed mode. Hope this helps.
  16. Download the file I attached below, unzip it, then place it in the folder " /Continuum/Zones/SSCE%20HockeyFootball%20Zone/ " Tell me if you can enter then. Commands.rar
  17. Your password can't be already in use; you either 1) used an already existing username which you don't have the password to, or 2) you're using the wrong password. If you simply forgot your username you can try ?lostp!@#$%^&*word in-game under another account, and your password should be mailed to you. Else,
  18. Read this? http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?s=&sh...st&p=204692
  19. From the traces, it seems the ping fluxuation is far higher than just 26ms. What I'd like to know is if he's using a wireless connection? Or has any other programs open while he's playing Continuum? On any account, it may not be something we can resolve. You might want to post this and ask about it on Hockey/Football Zone's forums.
  20. Apparently the issue is resolved. See you in Deva Mage
  21. Don't use RUN+AS, the reason why you get "Unable to Create Trench3.lvl" in the first place is because you didn't start Continuum properly. And if you've got a problem with Continuum, just reinstall it
  22. Well for Texas I would guess it's a lot of snow. Here in Ottawa though, it's been nonstop snowing all winter, and even though spring is only 15 days away, there's still more snow heading this way. But I'm not complaining, asides the part where I have to shovel my walkway that has over 6 feet tall snowbanks, I like snow.
  23. ?lostp!@#$%^&*word does not always work, especially if you didn't provide a proper e-mail on your other account, or if your e-mail provider blocked it. If you've taken a ticket for lost passwords though, just wait a while until an administrator sees to it.
  24. Seeing how it was Windows 98, and the file was 1.2gb, and 1% took about ~1 minute... I didn't feel like waiting. I'll see if I can create a new file and recreate some of the errors.
