  1. after an hour of deciphering the elvl structure, and implementing it, i must admit that i already have really reallllllllly big hate feelings towards it >.>" i think an ini-file like structure would be a way better structure than it is now, correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think the current structure is like that ._."
  2. lol lots of replys . I can handle elvl, but i want to discuss it how we're gonna implement it before either one of us starts. I hate to dismiss code that's already been worked on
  3. i don't have an account there, thats why i asked you
  4. it does ? i didn't change that, maybe sama did
  5. option: Use mousewheel for: could be useful but only if ppl really want to have a choice
  6. It's like 2 kids fighting because one challenged the other one, and the latter is left with 2 choices, run and cry or beat the crap out of him. Israel chose the latter, as an example for the rest of "potential" enemies. So 2 possibilities to stop this: either one gets knocked out, or someone has to intervene. But those that want to intervene don't want to cut in their own flesh, now do they ? This is the exact same situation in a nuts!@#$%^&*. After a while they just blame each other, and having a discussion whether which cause of which party was just is irrelevant. Btw dirty tricks such as making civilian casualties isn't only restricted to middle-east. The US did the exact same thing on Japan. So if terrorists are seen as ppl that want to create chaos by killing civilians, then you could deduct that US is the biggest terrorist of all countries.
  7. Due to a bug is the file that'll be downloaded not executed. You can check for updates, but you'll have to execute the downloaded exe manually. Note that the file is probably set to hidden, so you might have to change your folder options to see it and execute it. This bug is fixed from now on. v1.2.7Fixed problems with Tileset & Tile Editor Added more tools to tile editor (selection, airbrush, undo/redo,...) Added zoom in/out toolbar buttons in frmGeneral Added a new tool: Replace Brush Bookmarks are now visible through their menu Fixed update problem The file is also available for download in the sticky topic above
  8. if you want some other ideas: sort of missions would be nice, able to earn upgrades for your ship (i don't know how much the client is changeable to allow that)
  9. who cares, at least he posted it
  10. take that ms paint
  11. clt is good for lvz editing, as dcme doens't have that yet, but DCME is more flexible at the actual drawing of the map.
  12. errr what was the bottleneck ?
  13. don't forget to remove unnecessary dependencies or dll's that you needed before, it takes up memory and size
  14. Why not? There must be an explanation and ability to change them. Is there some kind of limit that allows you to only texture 19x10 set? I would have thought that these extra tiles would be exactly as the same as the 19x10 set, except by default without any texturing, being 'black' basically (some with black being transparent). because a tile equals 1 byte, 1 byte = 256 different values. In a tileset of 19x10 you have 192 standard tiles, and up to 255 of extra or special tiles like anti-thor and such. There is no way more tiles values can be used.
  15. its easy, vb6 even comes with a package & deployment wizard (well the enterprise version that is). But you can use window installer wizard too (its also free)
  16. lil question, why does it has to be in an archive ? i mean, you can just download any file with inet, even just a url with http://..../***.ocx or http://..../***.dll That way, the unzip dll is not necessary for dcme and can be removed. The more dlls that has to be loaded when dcme starts, the slower it becomes. If you know the difference between the speed of psp7 and psp8 you know exactly what i mean. PSP7 starts in 5-10sec, psp8 takes a whole minute or more on my laptop
  17. why don't you put the components into a self-extracting archive ? with . as destination ( . is path where archive is located)
  18. no don't include it, i'll just make a one-time setup. Then after starting you can always update to the latest that way
  19. you could make a self-extracting archive
  20. 1.2.67frmGeneral's caption now indicates version Fixed bug with switching / replacing walltiles on edge of map Fixed grid problem at high res Fixed small bug with magic wand (select and drag an area immediately without releasing mouse button didn't call sel.MouseDown, screwing up the move coordinates) Added .gif and .jpg to the default filter of the "Import Source Image" dialog of the Tileset Editor
  21. grid fixed
  22. the grid problem is because a width value has been used where a height should be there
  23. the can't autoredraw error can be caused a few things, but mostly because it hasn't got enough memory. I have 384mb - 64mb from video card so 320mb and no problems with it
  24. 1.2.66Added Radius and Density settings for AirBrush "Count Tiles" dialog now shows number of flags directly, and warns user if there are more than 256 of them Pasting something now switches to the "Selection" tool automatically Fixed important/critical issues concerning "Switch / Replace" Critical bug: Showing / Hiding toolbars did not update scrollbar values ; that could cause Out-of-range errors in several cases Added some missing 0 -> 1023 checks in selection class Fixed lots of problem when resizing general form or map's form ; it did not update scrollbar values hopefully those errors are gone
  25. and by the looks of it, the tile editor is like, or will be better than paint o-O
