Im willing to be it says firefox is your defualt browser, but IE is still in use under !@#$%^&*ociations. I dont know about vista just XP but look for an !@#$%^&*ociations area in control panel maybe its gotta be somewhere around there. Change anything IE related to firefox. Also is might be a registry entry !@#$%^&*ociated links with IE. If your computer savvy, run regedit and do a find for ie and look for anything about !@#$%^&*ociations etc, maybe open with or whatever.

This movie was based off of a book, i think it was called I am Legend . There were also 2 other movies based off of this book, one called Omega something, I think Charlton Heston was in it, then there was another one. In your advanced configuration for the wireless NIC there may be a setting called CAM mode (continuous awake mode) or some crap. Just means the NIC wont go to sleep essentially, its where the flow control settings and all that jazz are. Check that.

Are either of your NICs/ the xbox !@#$%^&*igned a static IP address? Could be a conflict?

Your laptop is using 2 NIC's, ur wireless and your wired. Your wireless is probably shutting off because it is designed to use the NICs as both incoming connections, not one in and one out, your basically using your laptop as a !@#$%^&*ty repeater, which its not designed to do. If i understand right you have your laptop recieving connection via wireless, then have the laptop hardwired into the XBOX? Thats a pretty awkward scenario. Try using ICS. Also is your just hardwired from your laptop to your xbox, try using a crossover cable instead of normal pinout. I'm not sure how the XBOX is set up but im guessing its set up as a client, as is your laptop, so that would probably require a crossover cable for ICS since theres no hardwired switch/router involved. I dont know !@#$%^&* about the xbox connection settings but if u can tweak it, set its default gateway to the laptops IP, and see if you can slap routing and remote access services on your laptop to make your laptop act as a router. Only do this if nothing else works. Ill look more into this since im at work and dont actually do work. Let me know more details.

By SS going 3d you mean the jump from overhead to actual 3 dimensional space. That will never happen, ever. It would require dedicated resources, mostly a company like EA or VIE to pick up the game again and redo the whole thing, not gonna happen. New players isn't going to happen in an amount substantial enough to save the game either, but it won't die for a very long time. I've said this before and it's probably true that SS won't die until the people playing now actually physically die lol. The vets will keep playing and new players will come and go because this is not a new player friendly environment at all. This makes new zones basically impossible, even zones that used to be popular to come back from the ground are impossible, look at GW. I think if SS is going to go anywhere but down the tubes, developers need to stop working on a bunch of mediocre new zones and use their abilities to improve or revitalize existing zones with existing population. IE: TJ and myself are working on a new version of DS that brings the settings and gameplay back to when the zone was rivaling MG's popularity, and adding new aesthetic flares. Is this going to work? Who knows. SS has changed alot and I don't know if theres any way of revitalizing a zone but I figure it's worth a shot. Not even zones like TW or EG have the pop they had not even 2 years ago. I've been gone for about that long and I don't know what happend to make it this way, but I see zones that were once huge die, like SWR is dead, RS is fading, infantry zones with the exception of MG are struggling where they once had a much stronger niche, even DSB is fading out a bit. Im tired of typing.

I can think of one use for this. Currently DS has a dev zone and the normal zone, both on ssc just to ease the flow of communications, however, our staff chat is local to staff, so in dev zone we can't chat on it or monitor the staff activity. If i understand this right this would be a workaround for the chat that wouldnt require unrestricting a staff chat and have the possibility of it leaking? This may be way over my head i dunno lol this is just waht i got out of it.

This is interesting, if a different router didn't work, than something in the area is definitly !@#$%^&*ing with your wireless signal big time, this isnt small microwave or cellular interference or whatever. Someone in your neighborhood could be a complete !@#$%^&* and be running something like air magnet, a utility that enables your to hiijack/completely !@#$%^&*/take over/etc wireless connectivity no matter how secure it is. Do you live next to a nuclear reactor? lol. Describe the area around your house. Any huge electical equipment in the area? generators? transformers? In your house is there anything like this? It cant be as simple as something like lead or signal blocking, whatever is interfering is clearly doing alot more than distorting your signal, its !@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*ing it. Try moving it to another area in the house ya. If that doesn't work you have to do a survey of your surrounding area, anywhere within 300 yards of your house essentially. Look for big !@#$%^&* electronics etc. Also ask your neighbors if any of them are ASSS, lol.

Sky i expect a better diagnosis from you come on jesus. The problem is his wired connections lose bandwidth when he enables wireless. Either someone is !@#$%^&*ing with your router wirelessly, which is unlikely, or this scenario is more likely: The wireless portion of your router is completely malfunctioning. It is becoming chatty when enabled, and is sucking up all the bandwidth on the external interfaces of the router because its spamming ack requests or its just basically shooting out saying "hi" nonstop to the point where the router traffic becomes saturated. Get a new router or don't use the wireless on it, it's broken, interference has nothing to do with this, and if firmware didn't fix it, nothing will. EDIT: Now that i read the new repost he made where he tried a different router i'm confused now lol. I'll post in the new one.

Vista is alright but XP is all you needs its just more functional as an OS. Also Vista free = ez since it authenticates at the bios level, hacking + cracking it is so !@#$%^&*ing easy.
