  1. Try a different res, and toggle the "avoid page flipping" box under advanced options.
  2. Try going to the menu View->Advanced Options, then check "Ships"
  3. Yeah I tried that....The higher res was also in the windows display settings menu that day.
  4. Now...back on subject...this happened like a year ago but it just came to memory: I turned on my computer as I always do in the morning...didnt change anything....and when I opened Cont. I noticed there was a much higher res available than what was there before. I normally use 1600 by 1200...but this one was something in the 2000's by 1900...i think...and so I set it to that option and entered a zone. After I entered the zone...everthing seemed to load ok...in a much higher res than I was used to...but a red message (I believe it was from my monitor) came up in the middle of the screen that said "PC SETTING CORRECT?" and then the monitor shut off after 10 seconds. Appearently my monitor didnt like that res, although everything looked perfectly fine for the 10 seconds. Then the next day, things were back to normal, with a max res of only 1600 by 1200 in the menu...and it hasn't come back since. Anyone know what might've happened that one special day? No, I didnt change any settings or mess with drivers or anything...it was just an avereage day. I want that really high res back!!
  5. I believe the only reason java is (baaaarely) slow is because since it can run on ANY platform, (which makes it better than anything else ) the code has to p!@#$%^&* on information to the java vm, which then interprets it to machine instructions for the operating system its running on. Java still owns all. $$
  6. Just play the uber l33t single player version edit: aww it doesnt work on this computer...it worked with windows 95 =(
  7. why dont you use all that time when you're board to learn how to program =)
  8. CLE will never be finished
  9. Cause I was bored and needed something to do. My prog should make the process of making lvz take less time. Also, it takes awhile to learn how to write and code the ini file correctly, and run it through buildlevel, so my prog should make it easier for newbies. In the next version, I was planning on adding a feature where you could import a .lvl file so you could just drag images to where you want them on the map, but I need to learn how to read the binary data of .lvl's first.
  10. hmmm never saw that before...why doesnt subspacedownloads.com have it =P Oh well...mine should be simpler to use, especially for people who are new to LVZ. lol i feel like such a biter i seriously knew nothing about k0zy's. It was still fun to make though =)
  11. When you type ?go #, the server always puts you to the public arena of that number. For example, ?go 0 takes you to Public 0, ?go 5 takes you to Public 5, etc.
  12. where is it?
  13. I'm almost done with it...here's a preview: http://forums.minegoboom.com/files/screenshot.PNG
  14. I had a monitor that did that every time it changed resolution/refresh rate. Yes its annoying but it only lasts for a second...dont worry about it.

  20. Nuclear power plants release less radiation into the surrounding area than coal power plants (except in the event of a meltdown of course ) Dont know much about hydrogen power but it looks like a good possibility too.
  21. The squad database must be pretty big if it hasnt been cleaned for 6 or so years...
