I think I know what's wrong, it happened to me once. If for some reason you have the same network protocol installed twice, your computer will send and receive every packet twice (which might also give you really high negative packetloss, I had -99.9%). Go to Start>Control Panel>Network connections, right-click on whatever connection you use, click on properties, look at the list, and if you see the exact same thing listed twice, uninstall one of them. Then restart the computer.

Try this: go to your router's set up screen (opening a browser and typing 192.168.1.1 should get you there) and look around for something called DMZ. Enable DMZ for the computer you are running the server on. If the server then works, then that means that your router's firewall was blocking the zone. After you shut the server down, you should disable DMZ again, or your computer will not be protected by the firewall.

Also, all the games on that website are pretty -*BAD WORD*- hard to decompile and then make sense of; I couldn't do it. Java classes are easy to decompile but if you put some effort into it you can make the code really hard to understand and/or be successfully altered by someone who wanted to crack it.

I dont think they use directX, but keep in mind that these are only applets (making them very limited) that were compiled using JDK 1.0 (for compatability), which was released over two years ago. A full java aplication would be able to use the newest SDK release for compiling which has way more features and functionallity than the one from two years ago.

Americans do not live in fear. I challenge you to find an American who has changed their daily lives due to a fear of terrorism. At elementary schools there are earthquake and fire drills, but there arent any of the bomb threat drills that my parents had to go through when they were young.

There was a huge spike in the violence in the middle east. I think somewhere around 20 ppl died. Nothing happened here in the USA, but according to what I quoted earlier, the attacks on the US will be today, on the 12th (?) And Kadith, I agree...the terrorists have only won once they cause us to live our lives in fear.

They still maintain a body temperature different from the outside, and external sources help them do that.

Scientifically speaking, an organism needs to have 6 things in order to be defined as living. 1) Movement Yes, the fetus can move. 2) Ability to consume energy. Yes, the mother provides that through the umbilical cord. 3) Ability to excrete. Yes, same as #2. 4) Ability to maintain a controlled body temperature. I don’t think so. The mother keeps the baby warm, and it probably can't produce any heat on its own. 5) Ability to react with its surroundings. Hard to say. Because of the lack of brain development of an unborn feturs and the spontaneous nature of an infant's movements when they are born, I would say No. 6) Potential to reproduce. Yes, the fetus can eventually grow up into an adult and reproduce. In my optinion, a fetus does not fit all of these requirements, so they cannot be classified as living.
