Creatix said he'd do it. The issue is the dots repeating in the background. When you do it, unless you set a fixed size for the content box(es) sometimes the dots won't space right. So it looks kind of re!@#$%^&*ed, and text I found is a tad bit of a pain to read on it sometimes. I had figured of just putting a semi transparent box overlay for behind the text, but the dots just won't repeat right for me to do it. And without the dots, it looks just, weird. I dunno, doesn't look as good, as they kind of gave the box the feeling. http://www.m33p.com/sscentral.jpg - I like how the news posts could have icons and stuff, and how content sections could be devided into boxes. So as nice as the extravagant looked, just really need something more simplistic to go with it.

Creatix made time to finish the design in trade of some coding work, but I haven't had a PC capable of doing it or time to do it. But I'm just going to try and make it work by coding in notepad, and having a friend compile it for me for that issue (yes, this machine is THAT fried). But his free time is limited to none also, so fixing the issue isn't in his hands. If anyone can do this, I'd be VERY GREATFUL. Chaos (ad with MANY SSC Zones) use to have it's forums here as you'll remember TRP, SSForum.net.

TRP is an old ex forum member. So he's been here a while. His account was just one of the 2000ish purged by an ex-admin.

I installed the Bug Tracker mod to these forums, primarily for dev groups. Can post bugs, features, etc. and track/reply to them. If you want to try it out, lemme know. I'm not sure how useful it'll be, but I'd like to give it a try and see if it does any good or shows any use, so lemme know.

History eh... In 2002 me, cybe, and rowen ran all 3 of the main ss websites. Subspace.net was mostly all about major news and features; Downloads.subspace.net we decided to split off, as ssnet and sscentral we're both pumping out a lot of bandwidth to downloads (only 25-300gbs for us, compared to their 300-400ish) and made a domain for it; and sscentral was all about hosting and lots more active on news. Well, we all 3 had a forum setup, and one night round 2am (Me and Rowen always came up with ideas at this time) we thought of 1 centralized forum system. We told cybe our idea in the morning, and Sept 2, 2002 SSForum.net was born. Within 5 months, we had 100,000+ posts, 5,000+ members, and probably 60-70 subforums. Than !@#$%^&*spawn1440 was talking to me one night, and talking bout Cybe, and how he was so inactive and wanted control, subspace.net was down and had been for months, blah blah (same talk got him the name SVS from me), and so being dumb and nieve, I talked to Cybe about removing himself as admin. He had no major plans to revive the domain at the time, and so I saw no need for him. I removed him and in a big blah blah, I guess it was the last straw, and he sold subspace.net. Cybe had been pretty much me and rowen's main connection, and the 2 of us slowly parted, and sold off SSForum.net, and SSDownloads.com. SSForum's db went corrupt, GodSpeedJAM bought ssnet, and said he had the VB license, also, so we tried to convert, and corrupted the db. IT chased off many zones/squads, and eventually almost killed the forums. Swift didn't have as much time as he wished to devote to SSCentral, and the site kind of just died off. Then almost a year ago, he asked me to give him a hand with some things, and I kind of just made my way back in, and have since redeemed full control, and currently am finishing a new site for SSCentral (http://www.sscentral.com/polix/ - just a slight design overlook), and moved SSForum.net to forums.sscentral.com to be more uniform, as no other sites are alive and use it, beyond SSDL, who we now work closely with anyways (will be closer in coming months I hope). Swift has quit the game, and I myself don't have a lot of time for it anymore, but I do as I can, and have revived these forums a lot, and plan more to come, as much of the council has bugged me about needing the last central site back up and running. --------------------------------------------------------- So there is a brief overview for ya. Edit: Oh, and yes all 3 of us are cool with each other again since. Me and Cybe have talked a lot, and all is fine between us, almost back to normal if you'd say as much. As it was only a few months after all of this, as he said he was finally freed from the game with the loss of that domain. All funds from the sale went to pay back payments owed on the servers he had, and next to no profit was made from it. Mine went back into hosting sscentral/ssforum (and then some), and Rowen has looked to pay back the community many times, not sure if he has yet been able to.

Zones may place local bans for any reason they wish. It is just like any other game, so live with it. Take it to the Alpha forums, cause noone here is going to/would be able to do anything by these rules. [ CLOSED ]

it isn't really blocking the ports, it is just not allowing any udp traffic. And on the colleges, they just only allow traffic through ports (HTTP), 21(FTP), and the default smtp port, I forget what it is, 54? That or some block all udp traffic, and tcp ports over 1000, allowing stuff like messengers (which use tcp typically) to work.

They're talking in game. 15 = Limit one player can send out. Sometimes (Most the time) biller bugs and limits at 17, unless it is now the new limit, which is possible as I have been out of the loops for quite a few years now. Until those messages are read and purged (When you type ?messages and leave and come back, sometimes doesn't purge right away even), then you will be able to send more.

Note: Spammers will not only be banned from the RPG, but from the forums. And Posts in Wormhole don't count towards Post Count, so don't think everyone will go spam there. I will also let zone admins know to watch their forums for spam.

You must of just !@#$%^&*ed up. Or been one of the ones who just enlisted without reading over everything. Something I know many people spend weeks doing here, !@#$%^&*, a friend of mine spent a month fine-tuning his contract with his enlister, just to make sure he only went to Korea, or got a huge payoff for going to Iraq. I have between 15 and 20 friends in the military, and I have never heard a single one say they we're !@#$%^&*ed over in their contracts, or have complained in any nature you have. 4 Naval Bases, 2 Airforce Bases, and 1 Military Base within 2hrs driving of my house, so don't even tell me I don't know that many, and that is just the ones I consider friends. I work with 3 retired military, 4 active duty, and 1 who got out, and all have their quirks, but none have ever gone to the extremes you have.

actually they we're deleted and reset. And Holes had nothing to do with the Transfers. His was all afterwards when some others kept sending him stuff when they quit. Same with Animate Dreams. Neither of them used the bots, and all accounts involved we're reset, deleted, and some banned.

Yes... because I actually play this game... Only reason I have an account is to keep an eye on !@#$%^&* that I can't normally see without being a player or editing member by member. Cash Flow, Weapons, suddenly high damage increase, 2nd names, etc. I didn't notice Ori Klein until it came onto the 1st page when I was looking earlier, and thought "Hmm... Isn't that grav's account, wth." So figuring it was another bot, I looked into it, but instead you we're just using it to hide !@#$%^&* and transfer it all around and gained from Ori at the same time. Maybe inadvertingly, but still. Your not the 1st or last, don't worry bout that. You just got caught, and your sore about it. I didn't even know you attacked me, as so many people do seeing as I never spend any of my money. I went around and used a bunch of my turns earlier, and then got attacked and lost like 90mill. I think I still have another 1400 or so turns left. And only maybe 15 attacks total in my logs, if that. And all but 1 we're during my little spree. If you think things are so corrupt again, I'll more than happily ban you so you don't have to see these forums anymore.

Upload the bot sources for me and e-mail me em. You took em down, and I don't have em on this computer. Mine isn't turning on again at the moment.
