I was calling cre a cheater for fun, but it so happens that in HZ which has been using this module a bit longer, a lot of negative qualities it is picky about magically disappeared from certain notorious laggers once they were being enforced, and those players are not notorious laggers anymore. In most cases where people were having trouble, they were running extra programs in the background or had other users on their network doing high-bandwidth things, usually manifesting as ping fluctuation. Ping fluctuation is a measure of how spiky you are. Some of the seemingly laggiest players can have decent ping times, the pattern that was discovered is that these players bounce around erratically (instead of getting packets at a regular interval, the interval osscilates like a sine wave.) This is usually a lot more disruptive than a high ping alone, which is why it's included in calculation. The module operates on a philosophy of if you are playing outside the limits, you are removed, and if you are outside of the limits, you cannot join the game. This is the same for lagaction and subgame, though each checks for these things in slightly different ways I'm sure. If you are able to enter the game, play for a few minutes, then are specced and locked for several moments, then you simply have an erratic connection. Which is shown in your ping times going up to the low to mid 200s, and your high s2c loss being 4.30. Run a trace to the server and if you know enough about that, you can identify at least if it's something your ISP is doing, something wrong with your own hardware setup (people have had problems due to a bad router that needed to be replaced, for example), or something on another hop along the way.

Lol, what firewall causes you to lag that much? For ?lag -a: Enter the zone. Wait about 2 minutes so it can gather data. Then type ?lag -a, and copy/paste the results here.
-
Nothing needs to be fixed/removed, insofar as this lag module actually detects laggers in an effective manner unlike subgame or asss standard. As you can see, even cheaters like cremey are butthurt over it. If you are running other programs or are on a heavily shared connection it is probably going to detect the negative impact that has on you. If you could post a ?lag -a it would be helpful so I could point out things to try, or if we met in game I could run some additional commands on you to make sure it's being reasonable.

Crashes generally don't happen in any decently designed software due to large amounts of requests, lol. Bots have but one advantage and that's generally making your zone server more stable (any problems in the bot code will crash the bot only.)

you are speaking about something that was removed forcefully (not by myself, I was one of its biggest defenders) from HS a long time ago, protocol. the only reason we have a powerball and goals at all now is because it follows a more complicated system designed to address the points that got the simpler system you are talking about removed in the first place.

10% speed increase on ship 3 = closing the gap between it and ship 5 in speed by 50% 10% recharge increase on ship 3 = making it recharge faster than ship 5 (though almost the same) 10% energy decrease on ship 3 = lowering its energy by ~250 on average. probably the closest thing to a "nudge" out of these three but every bit of energy counts when you're a hulking 4 tile wide ship if he says that the other ships are fine that implies that he is comfortable with the roles the other ships play, and making one ship more like another (except in this case tankier), then he shouldn't be talking about drastically changing another ship to just make it more like another ship (except in this case a much tankier version.) ship 3 and ship 5 are already too similar!

10% is not a nudge

it's kind of sad how fail people will go to troll a guy.. can someone invoke the spam rule on these guys?
-
If you don't suck you'll make money even if you lose the flag game
-
don't waste your time clocking recharge recharge number = amount you recharge in 10 seconds ?shipinfo yay! You are nuts and when you post things like that, I am reminded why I don't listen to you about this stuff. By the way, levis and spiders used to be more in the direction of what you're suggesting, and no one really used them then except to tacnuke along the insanely long bomblines.

pretty sure it wasn't my idea to give the losing team a reward though

I've heard of at least one program which uses auto-update functionality being caught as false-positives on certain virus scanners (since some viruses include capability to download new programs.) Might want to keep that in mind.
-
it's probably just server maintenance.
-
I picked a random option and voted because that's what everyone should do when they encounter a forum poll intending to gather any meaningful data.
-
I'm absolutely certain it could be done without a bot. We don't use bots (generally,) they are less powerful than server modules and a lot more high-maintenance. So when you make a suggestion you can just word it like "we should have stats spammed at the end of every fg..." Oh, and we have a stats module and everything but I don't think there's much use for using it in public when the start of a real flag game is very hard to determine. More likely it'd be something like DSB(?) where we'd give the stats for the last 15-30 minutes.
-
No need to post that you'd do something if there was a monetary incentive, we know already.
-
Wait Corey weren't you tiling emit's bases? Gib plz.
-
they don't realize i'm the one trolling them
-
ok i will grow up to get offended at e-posts which were not addressed to me in the first place and start making e-fights over them, just like my mentor requiemperiod
-
guy posts therefore opens himself to attack, deal with it believe what you wish...this is the trash talk forum if you actually believe my status means anything here you are a fool it's not my place to repeat what was said in private so then shall we resume, it's kind of boring holding back
-
nope pretty sure you should take the present the mods gave you by stopping me and walk away. but that would be smart, so i guess i won't expect it from you.

Stacking teams is just getting lame not to mention longtime bugs.

no no yes See, that's simple enough for anyone who doesn't want to read. I don't know what you're trying to say, but random damage bullets do 0-maxdamage, with 2/3 maxdamage average, where maxdamage is what the bullets would do if ExactDamage was on (bulletdamagelevel and bulletdamageupgrade settings.) -
nerfing kid's top speeds since 1969

There is no random bomb damage. The place the bomb hits you will change the damage though. Since the bomb does maximum damage at its center and less as you move away from the center, there is an irregularity because ships are square. Thus if you hit someone at the corner of the square it will do less damage because the center of your ship is farther away from the bomb than if the bomb hit you on the center of an edge of the square. For bullets there is a Continuum feature that makes bullets do 0-Maximum Damage (so if random damage is enabled, bullets can do as low as 0 damage) and the average damag ewill be 2/3s maximum. However random damage is optional and I'd be surprised if TW had it considering the few-hit-kill nature of the zone. And their bombs have insane splash damage where you can take lethal damage even far away from the bomb so the place where you hit the ship with a bomb shouldn't change whether they live or die. -
Since my latest posts were deleted (deleting posts on trash talk forum? lol), apparently some power doesn't want me to continue this fight since I already won. I look forward to our next encounter.
