"Event mods" are the worst idea ever. See other thread, but basically it goes like this: what's the point of being a regular moderator? They can host events they find fun to host as their reward for being moderators.

No, that'd be a different game. Barring some catastrophic event with SSC, or two major hosts, SS will have similar levels to today. If it were going to die so easily it would have already. You speak as if there is some great decline--I've heard the same story for 6 years. It'd have to start really declining now to be dead in 5 years, but it's not doing that. People come and people go. Most I've seen is Trench Wars not reaching 500 so often, while other zones have either died off because they were bad in the first place, stayed the same, or gotten bigger.

We'd rather put in effort to make something's that's good than cut corners and make something that's not good. I host a lot whenever I see lots of flag games happening, that's the deal. Every time someone says SS is dying, they're over dramatizing. All games die eventually, but most don't live for 13 years. SS will still be here in 5 years.

Assuming nothing changed at all (which seems more likely since no one has been working on this to my knowledge), then yes, you always could broadcast antiwarp into center from another sector. What we were planning on is making antiwarp be able to be turned on anywhere but it would never work on people in the center safe so attaching on spawn still works 100% of the time.

I didn't do this or know about this but this is awesome except for it working in safe.

That doesn't make any sense. Perhaps you have not played the elim arena which has a very early implementation of this. You'd be able to get many different upgrades so customization will still be high. Addendum: why would hyperspace bother making a league where everyone has the same ships? That's what every other zone is for
