Zeitgeist is hardly a documentary

Sure Edit: Done

Problem with "everything being available to everyone" is that people always want more. They won't just use what they need, that's how humans are. Also, how would education work? If there are no jobs, there is no reason to learn anything, just sit there and do whatever you want, right? Who will maintain the robots and structures? And if you make robots to make/repair the other robots, you still need to maintain these robots

Hey, would somebody be willing to make this please?

if it shows up on the radar, it's easy otherwise, that thing won't help you either -
Or just click the 'media' button , and paste the link (the entire link, not just the video ID)

I agree with the first part, but the second part I dont. The Earth is large, yes, but you need to think about food...how would we be able to grow enough food for trillions when we can't even feed almost 7 billion? There's actually alot of livable space with fertile soil for food and stuff.. i mean canada alone has 1 square KM for 1 person.. that's alot of space for 1 person. But then again.. who wants to live in canada right? Problem with that is most of Canada is permafrost and not much can grow there. We are already destroying A LOT of forests to make place to grow stuff. Destroying forests means using resources. If you played any RTS game, you'll know that you always end up emptying out resources We 'could' support much more than the current population, yes, but not without changing our habits. We (industrialized countries) have a major over-consumption problem. I'm not just speaking food here, but resources in general. How many cell phones have you owned? How many things that still worked have you dumped in the trash? The consumer isn't the entire problem though, most products are meant to be trashed, because it costs less to make a new one than to upgrade it. Manufacturing in general has to be completely rethought with sustainable products in mind. I had a stat... forgot the exact figures, but it was something like: for each ton of finished product out of a manufacture, 10 tons of resources were used. The rest is all waste.

I used to have a huge turretting gfx that showed a nice aiming line both on screen and on radar It was so huge, it took like 10 seconds of loading just before entering an arena, like when it freezes for a short time normally... apparently that's where it loads graphics, cause that part took much longer. Imagine a 1024x768 image, tiled 8x5 30MB uncompressed... if it was PNG it took even more time to load cause it has to load it in a bitmap way anyway. I attached it if anyone wants to have fun The radar thing will only work at 1024x768, full screen turret.rar -
I thought it had to do with colonizing Venus and gathering its resources or something. This would be more realistic, actually

You need a microphone

Might help if you read what is the error, and google the error message

haha

Does it happen in every zone? Are you using wireless?
-
You just suck Dav Most things require less clicks than before. It also gives me much less of these "wtf are you doing, Word, I want to do THAT!", and it just does what it should do.
-
Lol, what was that? You guys should have quoted it for me to see

Guessing there were only 4 who wanted Also, I might want to join. On the canadian team if possible ;P

... Much simpler than that, you just set bombdamage to a negative value and wall blast your teammates Problem in Continuum is that every bomb or bullet damage values are linked together, so it's limiting... but with Discretion, you could set any weapon to be healing. Hitting teammates or not could be an interesting flag for weapons too.

Post something relevant to the topic at hand, or don't post at all. You've now been warned. He did ask what AFAIK stand for, would have been much less trouble to simply answer 'as far as I know' though. If you know your way around VB well, learning a new language shouldn't be hard... Once you get to know the basic syntax (if, for, while, function declarations/definitions, structs...) you should be able to do as much as you could in VB.

I doubt it... most likely continuum.exe just writes to its current folder, in a simple fopen(filename, ...) way You could try something like *putfile somefolder\thisfile.txt Wonder if it will get put in somefolder on the server too...

Yeah it really sounds like a broken HD

It can exist... it doesn't exist in hyperspace, but the whole point of this discussion was about stuff that doesn't exist in hyperspace, so that's beside the point. [pre]*2 - Weapon info: Unsigned Integer Values or Booleans Weapon type :5 bits *a1 Weapon level :2 bits Bouncing Shrap (Boolean) :1 bit Shrapnel Level (0-3) :2 bits Shrapnel Count (0-31) :5 bits Alternate (Boolean) :1 bit *a2 *a1 - Weapon types: 0x00 - None 0x01 - Bullet 0x02 - Bouncing bullet 0x03 - Bomb 0x04 - Proximity bomb 0x05 - Repel 0x06 - Decoy 0x07 - Burst 0x08 - Thor *a2 - (Bombs -> Mines; Bullets -> Multifire)[/pre]

Might be simpler to organize the shipsets manually... you just need to put files named ship1.bmp, ship2.bmp, ship3.bmp, etc. (png works too) in your graphics folder; these will override the default ships in ships.bm2. Black is the color of transparency, i'm guessing the shipset organizer adds it to make different ships of different sizes fit in the same image. But as of Continuum .37 I think, you can override single ships with the method described above, which makes the organizer pretty much obsolete. (I never used it, but it sounds like it's what it does.) If the black square is visible ingame, then it's "non-pure" black (not exactly RGB(0,0,0)), and you could always try changing the color depth in your options. As for the roll, I'm not sure if it can work with custom ship graphics... otherwise you'd get a standard warbird roll in a zone where they put a custom warbird. So it would change appearance ingame. Notice the files wbroll, jvroll, sproll, lvroll, weroll, nwroll (that's the lanc), and shroll. I'm not exactly sure what you need to do to use a custom roll...
