  1. This never got answered, gotta fix that navbar link
  2. That's a pic I tried to post , but it showed up as a broken link, bleh.
  3. I'd say laptops are less prone to buildups than desktops, especially more recent models. Old desktops have no filter whatsoever, they just gargle in all the air they can. Also, each environment is unique... these people probably lived in a dusty place to begin with.
  4. haha, nice bump
  5. LOL Is ASSS like the antichrist in DSB? (it probably doesn't have to do with this, though )
  6. Apparently that's what happens if you're missing some panels on the backside. But I assume you also have to live in a shithole.
  7. Now make him punch his own face Not bad though
  8. Also because smoking screws up your smell and taste senses badly. Whal, it sounds as if you smoke yourself and don't realize the extents of that shit, or that you never witnessed the crap it does. Smoker's computer: http://geelongcomputerhelp.com.au/images/smokecpu.jpg Another one: http://www.derekscomputer.com/images/tar_dust.jpg Kind of related: http://bp3.blogger.com/_Ma7T_8XniKM/RtBW_Rd0WjI/AAAAAAAAAi0/tLOLTpzrQ_0/s1600-h/computer_smoke.jpg Unrelated, notice the mouse in the guy's computer lol:
  9. All this time and energy could be spent actually using and understanding ASSS, you know...
  10. uh? The problem here is that the client reads the map only once after the download. This would require a new 'tile X,Y has changed to Z' packet. If the greens you speak of did in fact internally use a tile ID, it was most likely a local thing. i.e. the server never had any idea of what greens were shot.
  11. nope, .lvz isn't required. On subgame servers, you could even add, say, server.ini as a LevelFile, and people downloading the arena would get the server.ini
  12. Amen. A shotgun can't do much when the government has tanks. This amendment had its reason for a few centuries, though. (imo)
  13. I don't really agree that they did void warranty, since it probably wasn't in the contract, but they should add it in the contract. Smoke residues are nasty and can jam a machine real quick. But then again, they'd probably have to add clauses for pet owners, and everything that can mess it up.
  14. Then we shall feast and drink 'til the morning sun
  15. Switching people over Discretion should be easy when it's equally stable and has the same features as Continuum, it's switching old zones to ASSS that might be harder
  16. If I was you, I wouldn't put your email in your name... Don't wonder why you start getting spammed when the crawl bots find it out I'd edit it, but I can't, only thing I can do is delete your post.
  17. If you want to optimize bandwidth, make sure you don't move at all when you play, that way you send less position packets, and don't even think about shooting weapons.
  18. cool stuff
  19. Mods are never a question of 'need'
  20. 35 bytes or 88, it all fits in one single packet... you don't save anything Plus, it will take one cluster of memory (whatever they are called) on your hard drive anyway, so there as well, you don't save anything. I'm not arguing about compression or file types or whatever... I'm saying you can't compare the quality of compression of 2 different file types by comparing how they perform on 1 to 10 pixels.
  21. You can't compare compression for such small images... they use color palettes, each in their own way... so the filesize for 1 or 10 pixels doesn't mean anything, really.
  22. But... emmm... Isn't that like... in the past? But yeah, contact them to know what's up with that ban
  23. I know a way to force people to change to ASSS... Make a new twister-like hack that can only be fixed by the server
  24. I'm guessing you could put them in their own folder if you want to
