  1. That MSDN thing is awesome... I have 8 different windows licenses, all legal, for XP, vista and win7... and I could get MUCH more. You get like, XP english, XP french, XP english SP2, XP french SP2, XP english SP3, XP french SP3, Vista (same thing, languages, 32 bits, 64 bits, whatever), and I could have 4 different windows 7 licenses if I include the 64bits ones. NEW RAM IS IN... seems to go faster, so far it's just an impression... let's do the Everest tests again. OLD | NEW ---------------------------|--------- Memory Read: 5794 MB/s | 6024 MB/s Memory Write: 4158 MB/s | 4179 MB/s Memory Copy: 4066 MB/s | 4695 MB/s Memory Latency: 117.4 ns | 108.1 ns CPU Queen: 1591 | 2386 CPU PhotoWorxx: 2409 | 2894 CPU ZLib: 7941 KB/s | 7776 KB/s CPU AES: 1674 | 1319 FPU Julia: 694 | 701 FPU Mandel: 495 | 369 FPU SinJulia: 219 | 172 Basically, only the memory copy was consistently higher. The test lasts a few seconds, so it copies around a lot more than 1GB, which is probably why having 2GB speeds up that test. The CPU/FPU tests... have no idea what they do anyway, so they're just there.
  2. I just added a profile field for 'Squad', thought it'd be nice and a bit of subspaceness to the forum. The part under the avatars is getting a bit crowded, however... I'd remove the gender one from there; not sure if/how we can make it show up on the profile, but not there... Anyway, what you think?
  3. veterans are also the ones who make newbies leave by being assholes
  4. Drop outside flag room , or get teamkilled
  5. You can use a region to define the NoFlagDrop areas... not sure if that's how HS does it, anti-brick tiles tend to mess stuff up, i.e. not only can't you brick on them, but you can't brick 'around' them at some undetermined radius. Also, not sure if anti-brick do anything on ASSS... they could be something subgame-side (since brick placement is handled by server)
  6. 18:00 GMT is like 13:00 EST (or 1pm EST for you americans who don't understand the much more logical 24h system) Just sayin'
  7. You're aware that the topic was dead for almost 3 months? Can't say you bumped it cause it's pinned, though
  8. RAM has been delivered, according to UPS tracking. weeeeee, can't wait to try it out. Though the GPU will be even more fun to try.
  9. Does it remember the setting? Also, can you mix volume for separate browser tabs? If it needs to be separate processes, does it work with Chrome since each tab/plugin has its own process?
  10. Or make antiwarp block shipchanges
  11. Was too easy, really
  12. Wouldn't A3S be a more accurate way of ... shortening the acronym (1 character less, oh yeah!) ? Not familiar with the 'rules' about that in English, if any...
  13. With all that pink, it's safe to assume he enjoys riding directly on the bar
  14. The VirtualMarks test is ran on the site... so basically the ActiveX just detects your hardware, so it's not a very accurate test... The 3Dmarks06 test I ran, however, is something you download (about 500MB). The free version doesn't tell you that much (see my screenshot); with the registered version you can get more detailed specs like ... triangles per second, or crap like that.
  15. A common bug is that when you enter, most (not all) sounds get set to a volume of like... 15, whatever your ?sound= value was. And you have to type ?sound=#, where # is a DIFFERENT value than your current ?sound value, and then ?sound=1 or whatever you really want it as.
  16. TW should try just using one giant pub I'd like to see 150 people exploding each other at once
  17. I don't think there was such a topic, anyway
  18. check the news file if you don't know who they are
  19. search is now fixed by Polix
  20. But they do respawn where they were, right? I used such settings in an arena I did, and they respawned like that. Don't know about points... even if it respawns neutral, you did drop it, so I guess it will stay that way until the other team picks it up. But it doesn't show up since it's not technically owned (appears blue to both teams) These are the settings I had [Flag] FlaggerOnRadar=0 FlaggerKillMultiplier=0 FlaggerGunUpgrade=1 FlaggerBombUpgrade=0 FlaggerFireCostPercent=500 FlaggerDamagePercent=750 FlaggerBombFireDelay=0 FlaggerSpeedAdjustment=300 FlaggerThrustAdjustment=3 CarryFlags=2 FlagDropDelay=10 FlagDropResetReward=0 EnterGameFlaggingDelay=10 FlagBlankDelay=200 NoDataFlagDropDelay=500 FlagMode=2 FlagResetDelay=1000 MaxFlags=256 RandomFlags=0 FlagReward=0 FlagRewardMode=0 FlagTerritoryRadius=8 FlagTerritoryRadiusCentroid=0 FriendlyTransfer=1
  21. Yeah... i7 CPU with a 285 ... you surely can run ANY game at highest settings with that. On 2 monitors. Also... the 'Best system' has like 2GB of RAM? ... wut? ... and a CPU overclocked to 5 GHz, wtf
  22. yeah... I don't see the point of GOOGLING it...
  23. I'm guessing the point would be to have power-ups that you can pick up, you use them for a certain time, and then they 'respawn' where they were picked up.

  25. Makes sense... sent a bug report.
