  1. Yeah it must depend on some system setting or something... the way the dialog control actually sends the list of files is kind of dumb and really hard to handle correctly with VB... it works half the time
  2. if that's a coincidence..... wow
  3. Yeah thers another thread about this one To get around that (I think), you can force dcme to rebuild the whole treeview by clicking another tab and coming back... delete only one at once
  4. I doubt that has anything to do in Technical Support forum...
  5. Can't you even say what the name 'SyrusMX' would give with your code Chamb?
  6. Without any clue it could be anything... I found some common factor to these numbers... that might be a step forward
  7. Nice! I had alot of ppl ask me how to do it... cause I admit it, it's not very easy right now, it will be simplified in the future with quicksteps. The only advantage now is that you can do everything you can with a LVZ. Like add sound files, or help files, or whatever Some things you might want to add in the tutorial: -You can add any kind of files in the LVZ package, not only images. Graphic files to be used by continuum will be previewed with its correct animation. -You can select multiple files to import at once (though some people told me it wasn't working for them... but it 'should' work)
  8. Yeah I noticed that shortly after releasing last version... It's kind of half fixed already, just not uploaded yet... If you guys are lucky, next update should come in a few weeks as I'll get some free time
  9. Hmmm you need to specify at least one more example to make it solvable... Else I could say something like: 1. Take the length of your name 2. Divide it by the length of your name 3. Multiply result by 68719476736 4. Write the answer somewhere Especially with 4 steps involved... it could be ALOT of things so having only one sample makes it impossible to guess I'd say the same for your puzzles Chambs... (I'm trying them anyways)
  10. 191424724010877010840 = This is lame Spoiler! --Click here to view--19 14 24 72 40 108 77 0 108 40 = This is lame 1. a=0 ... z=25 2.You put first letter as its code *1 , 2nd letter as its code *2, then *3... etc. i.e.: T: 19*1 = 19 h: 7 *2 = 14 i: 8 *3 =24 ... 3. You put all numbers side by side
  11. There are already a lot of people who thought about these kind of things... Your idea is not revolutionary The few coders of this community are already pretty busy... so I suggest you speak with some of the people already working on something and maybe share ideas
  12. with the value you got for 'rootbear', you used a = 1
  13. Yes I did... in about 15 minutes... Actually it was one of the first things I thought about... My first try gave a number really close.. 5 minutes later I realised I just had to invert the letters... Chambs, I'll check those tonight
  14. lol, owned? and lol@style warz
  15. But it's obviously not worth it in the testing phase of such a game
  16. ok got it... ez Samapico = 153068511377 Solution Spoiler! --Click here to view--Take each letter as a number reprensenting its rank in the alphabet (a=1, b=2, c=3...) r o o t b e a r 18 15 15 20 2 5 1 18 Consider each number to be a digit of a number... in base 26, leftmost letter being the most valuable digit So: r = 18 * 26^7 o = 15 * 26^6 o = 15 * 26^5 t = 20 * 26^4 b = 2 * 26^3 e = 5 * 26^2 a = 1 * 26^1 r = 18 * 26^0 Sum it all up... bingo Try this small excel sheet that calculates it... (Didn't make it work for numbers, spaces and other non-alphabetical characters... don't bother) NameToNumber.zip
  17. Yeah I don't understand anything of them either... Like... what's a girlfriend? Some sort of IT certification?
  18. well if you're willing to paint... hmmm..... about 360 frames per ship, then SURE. But it would be ugly anyway, cause you'd need to ... like... shrink the image or something to make it SEEM to be tilting it would take you weeks anyway.
  19. Man you are born to be a mathematician They're all weird But just curious, even if you fail, can't you just take the course again (or another course) part-time while working or something? I doubt it would 'ruin your life'
  20. LMAO yeah I thought it sounded like that a bit too...
  21. I'll give him 10 million points on the SSforum RPG if he releases them
  22. Hmm... we did notice it using a huge amount of memory... didnt have much time to investigate the issue... interesting facts I'm noticing right now: After opening DCME: 25MB After adding a first region: 100MB (~ 2MB per additionnal region) After deleting regions and closing map: 113MB (wtf) Wha... it goes up ~10MB everytime I close a map... The whole region thing in 'eLVL attributes' dialog might just get scratched now that we have a toolbar... That thing is still pretty buggy
  23. *takes note*
