hmmm yeah... I can't host a SS zone either Only me can connect to it

OK I want to host a small ftp server on my computer... I have the software and everything is set up... I'm living in university residences... so all computers within the university, or the residences have the school as ISP... So there are a lot of limitations with the external world. For example, it seems they are blocking inbound connections on FTP ports (I tried 20, 21... I heard 2121 was FTP too but it made my server crash ?!) On all computers in the university network, I can connect fine... but outside, no. Is there any way to get around that? Or any free services available that would allow me to do that? I don't need alot of bandwidth or disk space... Basically it would be to share files for school projects with the rest of the team.

yeah there are alot of issues in DCME... and both of us are kind of... bored of it there are some things that I would've liked to implement, but it would require redesigning the whole thing :/

not sure... I think it's orthographic by default and it's a very poor render because it's a screenshot, didn't find out how to make it generate a rendered image yet, I think I have to install PhotoWorks with it...

even if you can't host it yourself now... you can design a map, work with shipset, tilesets... etc. and someday you'll be able to make it work on your router, or someone will just agree to host your zone... ask whoever-is-in-charge of the PSS biller... I heard they pretty much encourage zones in a development state don't give up hamm... this game is already too much filled of people who gave up on various projects

.... there IS a menu called skins, but the bug they're speaking about is that it crashes as SOON as they click on any menu... so they have to change it via the registry To change it, go in the registry editor (Start -> Run... regedit) -Find the folder HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Continuum\State -One of the keys in there is named 'Skin', just change its value to the name of the skin you want. Or set it blank for default.

How is the menu bar hideous? And I never understood why it was off by default actually... I ALWAYS use them... (and the ugly toolbar with the 'home' button is not moveable so it takes tab space... so I reduce it as much as I can)

its not 3D... the closest thing to 3D is a pseudo-isometric view simulated by 2D graphics
