  1. but still, you have to write words you have no idea what they mean, right? Anyway... Typing of the dead: HSgKr9nyT6ghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSgKr9nyT6g
  2. Does that mean you have to type japanese? :/ Anyone played Typing of the Dead? check it on youtube
  3. I tried to... all games of these types I tried so far sucked really bad. That 7up pinball thing, which is one the most played games on ibpdownloads.com, is absolute total !@#$%^&*... The ball goes through your flippers, your flippers are slower than a depressed granny, and there's absolutely nothing fun to trigger or hit on the board... There is a somewhat enjoyable pool game I'll put up though; well it was here before too. But the scoring system in it is just impossible to understand.
  4. Wrong, but close (position-wise, not gender-wise)
  5. Wrong Wrong
  6. Keep in mind that fast fire rates might cause lag issues It's Warbird:BulletFireDelay, and Warbird:MultifireDelay (for when multifire is on)
  7. Just got a pic from our ride Can you guess who I am? Good luck Big Pic Spoiler! --Click here to view--

  9. "Reputation", aka how people like you, should not be a determining factor, imo. Contributions, however, is something different.
  10. http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?autocom=a...urney&tid=2 is pretty self-explanatory... once all the slots are filled, we'll have up to 3 tries to get the best score; then, whoever has the greatest high score in each bracket goes up one level. If someone spent all his tries, and you beat him with one try, you don't have to do the other tries. As soon as you start playing the game with the 'Play' link on the tournament page, your try is used, meaning if you hit 'back' just after, it will be wasted. Here's an example of a running tournament: http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?autocom=a...urney&tid=1
  11. Not that I know of. And last time I tried to install a game, the forum was apparently missing some file to complete the install... I'm putting more time in the Arcade for the moment, since you're the only one who cares about the casino
  12. Compare these 2: Notice how the color palette is different; and notice how his version uses only 88 colors (even if the palette has 256) Paint Shop Pro can do that (photoshop probably can to) by reducing the color depth to X colors. Basically, take a look at the number of different blue tones in the first palette (almost the entire palette are blues), and you can see that this was optimized greatly in the second.
  13. Canada wins... water... power... oil... have fun in your apocalypse suckas!
  14. duh Never was an once of doubt in my mind that this was fake
  15. Tournaments seem to be working now, for some reason... I remember trying to create them and it never worked. Anyway, there's an open Curveball tournament now, and I think anyone can create new tournaments. (Please don't go creating a tournament of every game, though :/ )
  16. Good Topic closed
  17. Comics, webcomics, or either?
  18. I managed that a few weeks ago, I always get a cold when summer starts Truth is you can get a cold at any time of year, I think you get them more whern it is cold because the virus can survive longer without a host in cold, moist conditions. and/or because your body is more vulnerable when it's cold since it is using more energy to produce heat
  19. I would assume not without being able to access information from the biller itself, which will basically remain impossible, as we still don't even have centralized scores available online yet either. (unless you have that much free time on your hands and compile a full list of usernames) How about some predetermined account (CTM040INSTALLER_) logs in some SSC zone, sends ?find 'username' , and checks if it is available? That would be pretty complicated, since it would actually require the installer to have the whole login protocol and such... There could even be a dummy SSC zone which allows subspace clients to simplify things, maybe.
  20. Yes, there's another thread somewhere about this... I'm pretty sure it has to do with the temporary biller that is up. I don't know if competent authorities are aware of it, however... http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=20641 in tech support forum I just posted something about this on the fresh ssc council forum... we'll see if this forum can be useful
  21. Do you mean if people actually receive them? Well I received a ?message, which is why it is stuck in my ?messages list
  22. Maybe it simply was not advertised the way it should have been, but even if most players can't join it, I think it's somewhat re!@#$%^&*uring for a player to know that the SSC is making efforts to improve internal communication, as well as external communications with zone owners, sysops, players in general. They might not have made all the right choices to reach their goal, but their intention is pretty clear, and will obviously adjust themselves accordingly.
  23. Some thoughts that came to my mind while reading the replies: -Brain brought a good point about dev people being more knowledgeable when it comes to hacks and such -Like I said, and someone else did too, like every zone forum, it has a staff forum... However, I suggest that most discussions should happen in the public discussion board to gather player advice and such. Only some more sensitive issues should be discussed in private... and even then, a summary once in a while of what was discussed, decisions taken, etc. should be made in the public section. Even if the issue is very sensitive, like 'how to deal with hack X', you could summarize it with 'we discussed on how to deal with some hack.' Hmm, well Sketter's post went pretty much in the same direction as this So yeah... Basically, don't split it with what the players need to view and what they don't need to; split it with what they 'CAN' see, and what they CAN'T see. Even if players don't give a !@#$%^&* about a specific issue, as long as it's not sensitive like something about hacks or bans, they 'can' view it, and it should be public. However, make sure to put a warning that the topics will be moderated, anything offtopic would be sent to the shredder
