Well someone fix it? Hopefully it's not polling all the quotes for each page, then selecting all the votes and then limiting the number needed to display on the page. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out how bad the queries are if the script was written properly.

smong has a RSS aggregator at http://toktok.sscentral.com/ssnews.php i don't understand why we need yet another news site? My subspace posts used to be posted in there as well but I think my RSS feeds changed and no longer appear. Work with smong to have your site's feeds added to it. Or maybe you can do the same thing on a top-level domain but having dedicated authors won't do the trick anymore.

it looks like sites hosted on sscentral.com are having mysql db issues. cypherjf.sscentral.com; tracker.sscentral.com are both not responding to the db server.

Well 'cept for HS, I can't login with my name twice on SSC. However, you -can- login w/ 2 clients at the same time, just different names. Been there done it before (in a zone I was sysop of, of course )... And something is up w/ ASSS or ChatNet, but I can login twice under cypherjf, one in chatnet/hs and one in TW. however, the packets only get sent to one client; but once disconnected, it goes to the other.. so :shrug:... peace.

Dumb. An account shouldn't be allowed to only login via 1 IP address. You're forgetting, there are still people on dialup accounts which aren't static. Also, the fact that I can hop around campus onto different machines with different IPs could also occur.

Well, just create another shortcut... I have 3 of them already since 3 different zones allow different versions. (which is becoming irritating btw). Although, since Grel does allow .39pr1 I guess I could take off the .38. Oh well

Btw, I had learned QBasic, VB, Perl (or switched), then C++, then Java. The latter 3 were rather easy to pick up due to the nature of the similar structures...

Let's not start comparing the reagon vs clinton vs bush's years; as they each had their own time and place (different situations). Also, as I was discussing w/ my roommate the other day, I feel the Euro will sooner or later out perform the US dollar, because of how they have the EU setup; where each country must meet specific economic requirements. I forget the whole details now, but the debt is shared amongst many nations, not just one. (i think, feel free to correct me.) ttfn I also want to throw this in here, tax cuts is not we need. Even so that "rebate" we got was taxable. As one episode of the West Wing, they were talking about how the tax "rebate" is more like an "advance" because you end up paying for it sooner or later.
