I've successfully copied cont's files to other PCs and executed them flawlessly. Whatever issue you have with continuum isn't caused by it rather by your inept system. Did you try to scan for adware etc. malware? Anyway...format. Meh.

As for continuum...sometimes it goes !@#$%^&*wad, esp. when some other program didn't close properly and is messing !@#$%^&* up. Only way to get rid of the continuum process is to restart. Or you can try the sysinternal tools, maybe one of them can assist you...doubtful though. Basically, pricktech screwed up and the error msg doesn't come on-screen only until the PC initializes shutdown and hardforce all active processses to shutdown internally.

Au contraire Dav, those who are tech savvy are smart enough to create macros, cronejobs and simplified admin CP GUI so that they may better manage and monitor their system instead of having to do everything the hard way. Early Windows was a GUI mounted on top of DOS...you could've done the same things over DOS...but why work hard? The purpose of an application GUI isn't to allow the clueless Joe Jr. to run his own services but rather to ease the job of someone who's already in the know.
