Common practice in retailship, they live off the profit margins with about 10:1 manager/actual employee ratio, with the managers that are above the managers (esp. The Man™ at the top) making the actuall good money. Employees are treated as numbers, slaves, not as employees - so the work quality degrades as well. Eventually, they'll be the ones to pay the price.

Think of a customer service which actually serves the customer. The emphasis is being placed upon professionalism, which is to say quickly bringing a speedy and thorough resolution to each situation. Each subject matter is treated on its own, equally and objectively. From my perspective, it is best that the NetOp be rather not involved in local matters as it creates favoritism and thus conflicts of interests. Instead, they should focus on their duty (enforcing regulations and providing !@#$%^&*istance whereas requested) and avoid promoting personal agendas of any kind. The NetOp is there to provide solutions to problems that are otherwise untreatable by available means to the zones and their staff and as such require intervention on a network-wide scale. The key word in all of this is service. The NetOp is there to provide a, valuable, service (to the community). It is not for personal gain.

All I can say is that I am sad that it took an internal matter which involved a "higher up" (testtube) for this to occur. There have been long do!@#$%^&*ented reports of SVS abusing power and I've known him since before he became a power tripping jerk and after and I could tell he was irresponsible and immature to handle this. The way he went about "scorched earth", trashing the zone forums and perhaps other peripherals just proves it. It was long time coming and he should've been removed from such an important authority position a very long time ago. I'm just happy the zone wasn't permanently damaged from his spiteful actions, as the players usually end up paying the price for scorned upper staff.
