They are all just a bunch of lvz object#'s that are toggled by the bot during the gameplay. If you are interested in certain stuff for one, might wanna post on the ssdev board.

I feel like 1/2 the people talking to ace in this topic are above his level in terms of experience and reputation... I donno i guess i just didnt like the way ace said "we" in this last post. Somehow this whole topic seems to be a way for ace to try and promote himself to a higher status...

Bump. Still shows up a couple entries in taskbar. Only security stuff im running is mcafee. Can i get a list of known problems in vista that can effect continuum?

What is the worst thing you think you have ever done?

Yea made a mistake thats not the error mine gives, thats the error you get for no gtk... The one i get says this: "The procedure entry point g_!@#$%^&*ertion_message could not be located int he dynamic link libglib-2.0-0.dll"

Im on my new vista laptop and getting the same problem as acer above ^^^

A lil more info, now this is kinda puzzling: Turned threatfire and spybot s&d off, allowed cont full access thru mccaffee firewall, then disabled mccafee firewall too... Still same indication with the mouse cursor. The cpu jumps up, but does not stay in upper 90's anymore (its more like 60-85), and only one static process of continuum exists in the task manager processes tab. Any ideas? Oh and this is vista
-
ok im gonna run thru things and remove security programs one at a time, but the problem im encountering seems a lil unique if it is a issue of conflicting with security software. When i run ss, i quickly jump up to almost full cpu usage, the mouse cursor constantly REblinks that is doing work (as in it start the animation, then starts again, and again), and in the task manager processes tab, anywhere from 2-6 continuum processes pop in and out... I got threatfire, spybot, and mccafee running btw. Are spybot or threatfire known to cause problems with ss?

From having been around and staffed several ssc zones, everything you say that these people will be discussing seems irrelevant to me. 1) unless you are a sysop at a bigname ssc zone, you usually are treated well by the rest the crew 2) most zone sysops (and plenty of owners) dont care too much what is going on outside their zone. I dont understand what issues and collaboration they are going to be so involved with that they need their own forum. What is intersting to me, is how it wasnt a council member to post this. As far as I am aware, the only council member to post here is blugoku. That give any idea of how high of a priority the council considers this forum? Seems like ace is a bit, uhm.. eager, to promote this to get his name out there :/

Just what we need, more players scattered over more locations to further decentralize our already shrinking playerbase. Honestly, i just dont think there is any need at all for that forum.

Methinks being the important phrase =P

First use: seems quite nice. Second thoughts, has problems: - Player should be able to divide by freqs, or show points, or w/e like F2 does ingame. - Text should be colored WHILE typeing it if preceeded by a ; or // or w/e - if someone puts a url in the chat, it does not act as a hyperlink :/ - When someones text goes into a second line, it starts at the far left, breaking the format of the timestamps. Maybe indent it to where player text usually begins? Also some color options for the backgrounds of the different text window areas would be nice too. So if ppl wanted to change the background of the text box to black (like an alt tabbed client), they could. **edit: Oh and of course this bug of not remaining scrolled down, once you touch the scroll bar.

Oh the irony. If you think that map is the "classic desert storm map" you are way too young =P

UK Teen facing procecution for Calling Scientology a "Cult"
ThunderJam replied to doc flabby's topic in General Discussion
I'll start off with your last statement. I believe I have quite a unique view on this since I do not identify with a particular sect of Protestants. The church I attend now is considered non-denominational, but I know baptists and presybyterians and have visited their churches. Some of your talk might hold true for very small pockets of a certain sect... but meh :/ I would disagree, and also from personal experience. I am joining my church as a member in about a month (have attended their for a while, but was not a member individually). To do this I had to go thru a 9 week course. Each week was just an hour long meeting before sunday service, and consisted of a quick 30 minute teaching, some discussion in small groups, and breakfast. And by teaching, im talking about they were just explaining the views of our church. I'm familiar with several similar programs in other nearby churches, and compared to what you describe, these seem polar opposites. It is casual, light on doctrine, and very open to just asking questions or w/e. As for salvation, right, their just echoing the teachings of Jesus. When you talk about beign exclusively a "correct" religion as compared to others that won't go to heaven, this can be said of more than just Christianity. I would have to say, I am on the side that thinks my religion is correct. However I can still respect and appreciate the faith of others. I have tons of jewish friends, and I think their faith is good, but unfortunately misguided. As far as being correct as a individual sect within Protestantism, I do not think there is a right or wrong. There can definitely be genuine Christians across all different sects, altho I would acknowledge that some sects suffer from different weaknesses that others do not. Theres are strongsuits and negative points in different ones, but that does not completely rule out the believers as individuals. And im gonna leave the antichrist stuff out of this, since i had only mentioned it as a point against "beliving anyone who promises salvation" Basically I just wanna say you shouldn't be too closed-minded, maybe you were just in the wrong circles :/ Maybe this should be split, or moved in its entirety to the world board. -
Good lord cry more. Its embar!@#$%^&*ing that your arguing about this

Huh? What exactly is this method evangelicals use to take control of followers? And when you say "who are ready to listen to anyone that promises them salvation," who are you implying by "anyone." If your talking about religious leaders, pastors, elders, priests, ministers, w/e, they don't promise salvation from themselves... And than you got scriptures warning against the antichrist and other false preachers who will claim to bring salvation. So, why dont you be a bit more precise, rather than make blanket statements that push bad practices upon people you are talking to. :/ -
Most likely your issue was certain security software that was running on whatever PC you tried to run it from your flash drive on. School pc maybe?
-
Root, you need to move that new image in your sig onto a new line. My entire browser has a horizontal scrollbar now cuz of your sig lol
-
Yea pretty bad idea, gives people the wrong idea about the importance of driving safely btw... You get a moving violation more than every month and a half? Mind you this 7 doesnt count parking ones and w/e else it said, so 7 they cover in a year is probably like 9 tickets gained in a year. If you need that much coverage your re!@#$%^&*ed.
-
And if you really wanna get complex, you could enable/disable the secondary bases based on population. Btw if you guys are gonna need any lvz help again, lemme know. May or may not be busy, but worth a try.
