Wow, once again, ds sysops try to pull off another ridiculous ban stunt. Today around 7:00 EST I\/Ir Beefie was in desert storm about to play a event of 2v2. Before the match him and a player "NL" apparently exchanged compe!@#$%^&*ive smack talk "ill own you," "we'll see in game !@#$%^&*". Whatever. Once it starts Beefie hunts NL for 3-5 kills, including the final (9th kill) that gets NL specced. Beef said "ez" wen he killed, and said something like "enjoy spec !@#$%^&*er" when he eliminated NL. Annoying compe!@#$%^&*iveness, commonplace. 10 seconds later Jericho24. enters the arena, Jericho turns out to be NL, and he proceedes to ban beefie. 1) Jericho24. is no where listed as staff in ds, altho he has sysop powers and high level bang and obviously bans whoever he wants (this crap has come up again and again in ds). 2) How could beef know NL was jeri? Jeri can talk smack to beef under alias, but beef cant talk back to a seemingly normal every-day player? 3) Nothing would have been done if this was any other player, would be dismissed as noobs !@#$%^&*ing at each other. 4) Jeri wanted to ban beefie a few days ago for something else, a ds staffer death?to?all stood up for beef saying he should not be banned. Death?to?all is now fired and banned Viligante the zone owner (once lived with jeri) is defending jeri about this whole thing. One of the lower ds staffers pm'ed beefie cross-zone right after the incident telling him that what jeri did was totally wrong and messed up. I dont wanna mention who this was because id rather not him get fired like death?to?all. <_< This is like, what, the third major abuse problem brought up about ds in a month or so? It's getting out of hand...

Mav altho i think loveshacks post is being rude and derogatory, I think its you that don't know what he's talking about. At one point (still is a major factor, but not as much) like 4/5 people on their staff were dutch, and it seemed like every single dutch player in teh zone got hired no matter what their credentials were. Thats what he's talking about. Joke was that DS stood for Dutch Storm.

In terms of a multizone event, thats not needed - But live is correct nonetheless. They key is having active people in positions of power and having an effective advertising campaign. So many people shun away from the term "advertising campaign" but it really doesnt even need to be taht organized. If one out of every 100 ss players posted an ad to ss on some other internet forum they use, that would be an incredible leap. Would be awesome if every zone connected to the ssc biller used an idential periodic message reminding players to advertise continuum elsewhere. As far as further development of continuum, freak is right - nothing drastic should be changed. Besides security features, the only changes should be in allowing more control over settings issues taht already exist. Like full control of bullet/bomb level's damage instead of using a factor taht each level increases by.

True that criz does plenty of !@#$%^&* and pushes the staff to their limits, and true that he sends in his pals afterwards to whine about it. HOWEVER, sui is not in criz's squad, hes in a rival squad, and sui (as far as i know) does not have "reasons previously for a ban." And requesting to lock the topic, how typical. Please take a look at Desert Storms forums Ban board here: http://www.zoneds.net/forum/viewforum.php?...3427be1ad4bcf81 You'll notice they lock every topic after usually avoiding giving any reason for a ban. This has become far too common in ds, im surprised their still allowed ssc billing.

Mav and slicer, you say he was getting into things too much without knowing the other side of it. The thing is, the person before him doesn't really matter compared to what happened to him. Sure maybe there was a good reason to ban the guy before him, but obviously there sure wasn't a reason to ban sui, as shown by the screens and log. Seems like ur picking on the one thing sui possible did wrong instead of the massive unexcusable abuse by the zone owner.

ahahah i thought of a good one today. an option to toggle to make ships die when they hit a wall/object. This could have a variance too, like how fast they hit the objects inflicts different amounts of damage on ur ship.

Beef tells me that LAST NIGHT (before this happened) him and TV were tryign to get GS online. HE says tv was going to tell GS (for the record) they he hired beef on his own will. Then the next day tv did all this. Beef feels like tv was leading him astray before he ditched him.

Wouldnt you have named some clause to keep agurus out? Cuz he was obviously gonna come back if beef was gone. And, werent you one of the ppl saying death changing staff was wrong, yet now you guys do it urselves? Why should i co-owner be able to be fired (plus banned for 6500 days) by his own co-owner?

I would expect TV to have been careful as though. After having the first whole fiasco, if he wanted to get rid of beefie, he should have done it by the book, not this crazy scheme. Beef is still unaware of it cuz he hasnt gotten online yet. I wouldnt be surprised if halo lost ssc billing.

Hmm lets look at this: TV and Beef were co-owners of halo on SSCI. TV moves Halo to SSCB while beef is offline. TV fires beef while he is offline TV bans beef while he is offline. Did i mention the ban about 6500 days long? Then TV rehires Agurus as sysop. Agurus posts in news saying the move from servers comes with help from SVS and Altec. How in the world does this make any sense at all? Someone please tell me.

Absolutely everywhere ive been, verizon has always had better coverage then cingular and the others, everyone i know has switched from other companies to verizon. T-mobile has some sweet plans and stuff though. As for which phone... I dont really like Nokia's, but oh well. The chocolate looks sweet, but the touchpad isnt very sensitive, and it seems to me like the screen might be easy to scratch.

But before you took choice 1 (moving off ssc) you gave it to TV. Death then said another sysop must be inserted too, and put Beefie as co-owner with tv (I would imagine this is because he thought tv would just be like a puppet for agurus, so he inserted someone he liked to keep the place in-check). Once it had two co-owners, tv should not have had the sole power to give it back to you. Shoulda been a split decision with beef too. *EDIT, new thought:* If confess only heard that tv gave it back to agurus, and wasnt aware about needing beefs consent, then him hosting halo on sst could be more innocent then it appears. Like maybe he was duped into thinking it was a fair transfer from ssci to sst. Maybe he shouldnt be netbanned?

Im kinda neutral on this whole issue... But in F1 or somewhere, beef and tv were both listed as co-owners. Which would mean they would both need to agree on giving the zone back to you. And yea, whats this whole thing about confess and super fortress being banned and removed?

Id agree with a lot of stuff in there, didnt quiet read the whole end of the post... except for the part about car bombs not being terrorist. If car bombs only went off at enemy military occupied positions, id agree, but car bombs are killing civilians. *Went back and read the end* Edits: You want to wipe israel off the map?
