As to why it falls under freedom of speech: They categorize speech into two groups, literal speech, and symbolic speech. Symbolic speech is any act that is used to express a view or thought. Hence burning the flag is considered symbolic speech. Personally, i think burning the flag is the worst disrespect you can possible show for your country. It's like mexicans wanting to come here, then making the national anthem in spanish. If you wanna live here, why sit around and bash our country? On legal terms however, i dont think it is possible to ban the burning of the flag. Whether I (or anyone else) like it or not, we shouldnt be able to sidestep the cons!@#$%^&*ution to make it illegal.

Yea i meant what distort said. About bullet/bombs, bullets already got bulletlevelupgrade or watever its called, bombs dont, they only upgrade prox. For the rest of the greens...rotation,thrust,speed,nrgy you can all set with initial/max values. bullet,bombs, and items you set with initial/max values. stealth,cloak,radar you got status. Ok, it's given that syrus's initial example was a bit extreme (saying Happy Easter aint a big deal). That being said, I agree with most everything else syrus said. However i do agree with the whole thing about celebrating a holiday you don't even believe in. If the whole world celebrated Hannukah, eventually it would be so wacked, that the real meaning would be lost. Chocolote, bunnies - yea it's commercialized. Being commercialized isn't necesarily a bad thing. We could have all that and still recognize the true meaning of the holiday. SSC is a biller that connects various servers (SSCC, SSCI, SSCX, SSCB). Those are what you get hosted by. -Most "hosters" run zones files off a server (with the exception of some small, non-ssc servers) -A council comes to your zone? The council is an exclusive group that mainly just deals with matters of ssc. They are not going to come to every zone that tries to get hosting on a ssc-server. -By all means ask people for hosting. Saying don't ask is mainly for noobs becuz server owners don't want to be bothered by a million requests over and over. -Uhh, don't even start on that topic. You're not getting on the council unless you have been playing for 5+ years, have extensive experience running a zone, server, biller, coding, etc.

Well. Here you are generalising as well. Not every muslim believes that non-muslims should convert or be killed. One of the reasons that some muslims hate the west is because we assume that they should have the same values that we hold. This is wrong. The people at issue are only the Radical muslims, not the majority. Violence: The problem is that in their religion it is stated that EVERYONE must believe in THEIR religion. Any religion would like that, and many pursue it through evangelistic actions. The Bible for example, says that "One day, every knee shall bow [to Christ]". The problem is, they interpret this for the right to kill anyone of opposing beliefs. What would they think if Christians bombed their country? The Cartoon: To put another perspective on this... The Bible says "You shall not say the Lord's name in vain," it's one of the ten commandments. If Christians across the world took up arms against anyone who said "Jesus Christ" it would be unacceptable. That, I feel, is just the case here. If someone who does not participate in their beliefs violates one of THEIR RELIGIOUS laws/rules, they does not give them any right to retaliate with violence. Im not gonna pretend to know anything about this topic, because i honestly don't. Everything I am saying here is basically coming from person thoughts. Isn't it currently illegal to assist someone in suicide (USA)? What's the purpose behind that? Don't citizens have the right to decide when to end their lives? I would think "life, liberty, and property" would include the right to decide when you want to die... Why can they ask someone to help them end their life?

Monte you keep saying evolution is proven to occur. YES, evolution is proven to occur, but the discussion here is whether evolution is proven to be the origin of the universe.

Aileron, the reason im sorta using Intelligent Design interspersed with Creationism, is because Creationism isn't considered politically correct anymore It falls under Intelligent Design. Ummm, was that a joke? It doesn't have anything to do with God or religion. Another thought, there is some scientific law/theory that says that living cells must come from other living cells. So, how could the universe go from nothing (before the big bang), and then develop cells? The two things contradict themselves. And I'll say it again i88gerbils, Im dont think they should extensively teach Intelligent Design as a science class. I do think however, think that science classes need to acknowledge that evolution is not a fact, it is a theory. Likewise, they should acknowledge that there are other theories besides evolution, and they should at least tell you what they are (Not necesarily go into detail, and explain everything behind them - simply tell you what some other theories are)

Umm, there is a huge difference here. He is comparing Saddam Hussein g!@#$%^&*ing his own citizens, to America's past war with the native indians. One is a war between two seperate groups of people over land (French and Indian War, ring a bell?), whereas the other is a mindless slaughtering of one's own people, whom Saddam was supposed to be leading and protecting. Im not saying we had the right to take the Indian's land, most Americans now wish we had been more peacful, but it is not at all like Saddam Hussein g!@#$%^&*ing his own citizens.

Not everyone wants to pull out. Most people acknowledge that our plan of action should have been more precise but that does not make everythign a failure. You can hardly say that letting a nation that was formerly tyrannically ruled with fear have free elections is failure. Could it have been accomplished more cleanly? 1) No one has ever claimed the Bible was written by God. Many of the books are evened named by the people that wrote them. It is supposed to be the works of God as recorded by men (some authors are unknown) 2) Yes, you are right that there is no PROOF that the Bible is correct, my only point it that there is no complete PROOF that evolution is a sure-fire fact either. I'm not trying to suggest Intelligent Design should be its own science course. I more meant that Science should acknowlegde that evolution is NOT a FACT, but is a THEORY, and acknowledge other theories exist.

You may think this is a stretch, since it uses the Bible, but... The Flood (Noah's Ark) has speculated to have been able to re-arrange rock layers, messing with times, etc. Also note that MANY tribes and groups that have teaching from that time all have tales of a great flood. If you are familiar with the book of Genesis (in which God creates the world), it says god creates specific aspects of the world on subsequent days. One theory about Genesis basically suggests that each day then, is not equivalent to a day now. OR that a day to God is different than a day to us. This would also open up the idea of the Earth being hundreds of thousands of years old, and the possibility of evolution with god. Whether the thought originates in scripture or not, Intelligent Design (aka Creationism) is a valid theory on our origin. Read into the proof for evolution and Creationism, i think you will be surprised and find that there is more proof for Intelligent Design (and other things in the Bible) then you thought - and that evolution is no where near as much fact as it is hyped up to be.

mmm, I live in maryland, and in the past 5 years we have become ridiculously overrun with deer. I was driving into my neighborhood just two nights ago, and passed 8 deer, including a 8 point buck. And this isn't a rural area either. It's gotten to the point where hunters are basically welcome, not just as a sport, but people are glad it decreases the deer population. *EDIT* Hehe oops, didnt realize how much i bumped this topic
