Yeah if someone doesn't like what they hear, what stops them from turning it off. If I don't like the show on T.V., i change the channel. I think the same concept should be applied here. If people want to still be "OMG" about it, put a disclaimer "May contain explicit lyrics." or something.

Make sure they are printed in French as well!

Christian nutters try to forcefully convert Haiti chidren
BDwinsAlt replied to SeVeR's topic in General Discussion
Devotion, as I have understood it over the years, is when someone follows God's rules and worships him. A devoted Christian will never deny that he/she believes in God, just to fit in with others. Devotion doesn't mean you always think about God, it just means you are friends really. Do you honestly spend all your time with a certain friend? Husbands and Wives usually have some time apart. God doesn't consume all my thoughts, but I do pray on a regular basis for forgiveness and guidance. If God wasn't real, it wouldn't bother me (not saying I'm doubting his existence). I'm glad I was fortunate enough to be part of something that is loving, hopeful, and forgiving. That's good enough for me. -
Just make something for ASSS. Make something that edits the group defs and which commands they can use maybe. Like have a checkmark for public and private command. Group: +Public +Private CMD1 -Public +Private CMD2 Something like that along with an editor for the staff.conf file to define which users are in that group. That would be cool I guess, although it's easily done in a text editor. But who knows, maybe it will make asss easier for newbs.

725 FPS / 5 Seconds Output: Yes, but still doesnt work. I even tried updating to wine1.2, which cause a segmentfault until i built from scratch

Probably worth adding this to the guide, since poor frame rate is the most common complaint. Not to hijack this topic but... I've been using Continuum on Linux for a while now. I have 2 Linux computers, both with continuum on it, and it runs fine with the patch. On my newer computer(2 x 2.16 Ghz, 4 GB Ram, 1GB Video Card), I get roughly 65-80 FPS, after changing some options in the advanced options in Continuum. My other computer (Dell 1501 @ 2.0 Ghz, 1GB Ram, 258 Mb Video Card? Not sure) runs it about 40-50 FPS. My new computer on Windows 7, gets in the 200s as far as FPS goes. I tried the directdrawrender and it made my FPS go from the 65-80, to 1-3. Was there something I missed? I looked at that link and did it exactly as it was shown. It explained everything, so why does it make my graphics worse? Both systems are running Ubuntu 9.10 and are up-to-date as far as Ubuntu says. wine --version = wine-1.0.1 Thanks, BD

I actually understood that. I don't understand why the French use religion as cuss words. I lol'd at putain, my sister used to call Audry that a lot.

When I took French 1, we had phrases in our book that were mean. Someone didn't feel well and wanted someone to pick something up for them, the person replied that they can just eat whatever in the the fridge(With ! at the end). My teacher said a lot of time the French sound rude. The book seems to agree.

Cats poop rainbows? Unicorns exist? Indeed, Keywords: unicorns, Bible, animals, Job, rhinoceros, elasmotherium, aurochs, rimu, wild ox, Bos primigenius, extinct Some people claim the Bible is a book of fairy tales because it mentions unicorns. However, the biblical unicorn was a real animal, not an imaginary creature. The Bible refers to the unicorn in the context of familiar animals, such as peacocks, lambs, lions, bullocks, goats, donkeys, horses, dogs, eagles, and calves (Job 39:9–12.1) In Job 38–41, God reminded Job of the characteristics of a variety of impressive animals He had created, showing Job that God was far above man in power and strength.2 Job had to be familiar with the animals on God’s list for the illustration to be effective. God points out in Job 39:9–12 that the unicorn, “whose strength is great,” is useless for agricultural work, refusing to serve man or “harrow (plow) the valley.” This visual aid gave Job a glimpse of God’s greatness. An imaginary fantasy animal would have defeated the purpose of God’s illustration. Source: http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/aid/v2/n1/unicorns-in-bible

Christian nutters try to forcefully convert Haiti chidren

They went there to help people first and foremost. If someone is sad, they tell them what they believe, which usually cheers them up, wheather it be a wife who want's to believe there is something great waiting for her, or a criminal who changes his ways and follows God (Prison doesn't correct the problem, but religion can). I really don't see your point. It's not a game of conversion, they are helping in any way they know how. You seem offend by a belief shared by 2/5 of the world, while Islam and Judaism follows it. Which have the same God, and a lot of the same prophets. So probably over half of the world believes in the same God. Isn't Islam 1/5 of world religion? -

Just because you tell someone something over and over, doesn't mean they will grow up living it. They may believe everything you tell them, but eventually they go out on their own and they discover themselves, and may not pursue it. For example: I learned Chemistry in school, but that doesn't mean I will grow up to follow what Chemistry has to offer. You can learn Greek/Roman Mythology in school. I don't believe that religion (which is still practiced today). But children can still learn about it if they want to and there is no conversion attempt. I think schools should offer a program in areas that want it, to learn more about their religion if they choose. Of course it would be completely optional and consent forms would need to be signed. Back on topic, these children will grow to trust these people and may even want to become a Christian because of the good things they've seen. Christianity isn't a bad thing. Even if God isn't real, what is wrong with someone else believing in something more, and following the Bible, which has great morals still used today. (Ignoring the old testament since it really isn't relevant anymore, i.e: stoning. Jesus took care of that.) These are good people trying to help in every way they know how. Part of being a Christian is TELLING others about God and their beliefs. It has nothing to do with making them convert. Simply explain your beliefs, then if they WANT to become a Christian, then you help them. -
I like the gamble bots better. Even if they do steal my money.

Sounds like a Form you put on your website with a drop down menu about what the issue is, so it gets directed to the correct person. Hard to implement, no... It shouldn't take long to make. The hardest part would be finding email addresses for everyone.

He is a grown man and can make his own decisions. Even if it's true, it doesn't matter. Maybe this guy was using polix as a name, and is simply trying to come out, but is scared of being judged by a 2d spaceship game.

Ok I logged in today and got this message... [Feb 06 01:58] HappyHarryHardon: SPECIAL NEWS BULLITEN: Polix likes men with short penis. Apparently several people got this message. Courage is one person I remember saying he got it. Harassment - Continual harassment of players, zone operators, or server hosts in real life. Examples include contacting ISPs to shut down zones, or researching private player real life information and proceeding to harass or stalk them in real life. import java.util.Scanner; public class InputExp { public static void main(String[] args) { String name; int age; Scanner in = new Scanner(System.in); // Reads a single line from the console // and stores into name variable name = in.nextLine(); // Reads a integer from the console // and stores into age variable age=in.nextInt(); in.close(); // Prints name and age to the console System.out.println("Name :"+name); System.out.println("Age :"+age); } } Something like that? Source: http://www.java-tips.org/java-se-tips/java.util/how-to-read-input-from-console.html Edit: I haven't really used scanner a lot. I normally use something like: import java.io.BufferedReader; import java.io.IOException; import java.io.InputStreamReader; public class ReadConsoleSystem { public static void main(String[] args) { System.out.println("Enter something here : "); try{ BufferedReader bufferRead = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in)); String s = bufferRead.readLine(); System.out.println(s); } catch(IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } }

Lulz. What else does Ceiu have to do? Make modules? Of course he is gonna raise hell

What's new?

Now all we need is a SS teamspeak server with a channel for each zone. Well unless BaK- and Dr Brain implement a voice thing to go into Discretion/ASSS. BaK- thinks it is a good idea. A little speaker by the person's name when they talk would be cool. It would be so much easier to flag and duel if you can talk instead of type while you're trying to play. SS Radio sounds cool. I really think we can unify the zones better this way. Advertising events in different zones would more than likely help, probably more so than twitter.

I could understand if it was Cuba. -
Thought I did something wrong. That's kind of creepy that you posted some of the stuff I've said in the past. A bit stalkerish, but we can work around that.
-
Can't you just use OpenDNS for this? I know I can make shortcuts like that and it directs me. But if you feel like recreating something that already exists, go ahead.
-
Yea, that is definately something that's missing. A command that lists all the commands is something I really want to see, too.

A lot of people (including myself), usually only download SSC zones. With SSC in front, it's more likely to be visited. SSC-BlueT That would place you on the top of the download list, and show you're ssc/bluet network. Although it is different from the normal SSC look. But then again, so is T3. Maybe even SSC-BT w/e Just be creative.
