  1. http://www.ssgn.net/gameplay.php this ought to get you started, lots more at www.ssgn.net as well. As for your loading problem. Can you please tell us which zone you are trying to enter, what OS your PC is running? also are you on a network?
  2. TBH I am surprised limewire survived for this long anyway. Napster and Kazzaa met their ends in a much shorter time span. As always though one goes down 5 will reappear to replace it.

abandon ware does apply to the game itself but i don't think it does to zones if the files have not been released. The works that make a zone are the property of the zone owners and developers (technically) and thus that/those person/s have a certain level of control over it.
  4. Now that I am used to it I am a big fan of win 7. Its very stable and works flawlessly for the things i do. For old software there is WinXP mode, which I discovered works well recently.

unfortunately a zone set up non SSC is more or less untouchable. On a plus it will be more or less ignored as well.
  6. yay pong! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNAdtkSjSps&feature=player_embedded#!
  7. noooo where has the SS shield thong gone?
  8. epic Now we need to build a bridge to MMO isle and rejoin the mainland, to boost our populion. Why didnt we think of this sooner??
  9. They talk a lot about chemical signatures for life. This is making a huge assumption that extra terrestrial life works based on the same chemistry as ours. It is well worth a look though, if that planet has a similar chemical makeup to earth then there is no reason why life couldn't have started there in a similar way, but i think atm people are jumping to conclusions. and yeah, 20 light years is not far in the grand scheme of things, but our technology is far from taking us even this "short" distance.
  10. I doubt it very much. Half the issue with our current way of living is the issue is not pressing enough. Devastation of rain-forest, burning of carbon fuels e.t.c are still both financially and environmentally viable in the short term. Sooner or later this will no longer be the case and we will be forced to increase the rate at which alternatives are made available. Unfortunately modern society works in the short-medium rather then the long term, we all know that fixing these issues now will be better in the long run, but it will not work with economies and society functioning as it does now.

    Comments?

I assume this link is NSFW? anyway I am also very confused
  12. head over to http://files.ssgn.net
  13. Oh I see, extinction as a way to undo human damage to the planet. I think population is a major issue, simply put there are too many people on earth at the moment and the environment is paying the price. Extinction is a bit far though, sensible population management (this is another discussion, here I am taking along the lines of making contraception more widespread, improving education...) and new green technologies are the answer IMHO.
  14. you might want to give some context to this vote. We are thriving, granted our populations is "unnaturally" large but we have adapted to our world very well so my answer has to be no.
  15. the only issue with big ships is the rotation starts to look choppy thanks to the limited angles.
  16. i think frequency is the big issue as well. A slight drop in frequency with the volume drop would cause havoc!
  17. I can see the point in this, When cycling I rely on the sound of traffic to know how far away the car is, when it will pass me and how much space it is leaving. I don't care what sound it makes, in fact hearing some new sounds could well brighten my commute up a bit
  18. I think one thing we need to do as a whole is take the attitude that names/squad names that are kept as trophies are fair game for a reset. Would make things a lot easier.
  19. give the man some credit, his cane is at the very least wifi enabled and able to script python via voice commands Actually I want one of those!
  20. fixing laptops is nothing short of a pain in the ass. If its a blown part you might be able to buy one on ebay but it won't be cheap. Note the "start at 29.99" as everything in a laptop is propitiatory odds are any major components will be costly. Any way to get a quote before they do the work?
  21. I think this is pretty accurate. Same with many jobs/sports IRL as well I tend to find.
  22. I love the RPG idea. I might have to ban myself though, I developed an unheatly obsession for that last time.
  23. VNV Nation - Matter + Form (ablum)
  24. Trying to use subchat perhaps?
