there was something similar to this in the UK several years ago. A farmer was repeadley being robbed and gave a nice warning that the next time he would shoot the robbers. Soon after he was arrested for shooting 2 men in the back after they ran away from his house after tring to rob it. Difernece here is though the man was sentanced for murder I believe.
