  1. another one to throw in the mix from the UK. A "brainstorm" may be offencive to people with epilepsy so it now has to be referred to as a "thought shower"
  2. Bicycles and accessories 514,700 I wonder how many of these are from failed 10ft dropoffs, jumps etc offroad. Road race pile ups and other strictly sport related cycling activity though. oh and LMFAO at this one: First Aid Equipment 27,300 How the !@#$%^&* does that happen? Hmm I need a plaster, OH $@ i just cut my finger off when making the bandage the right length!
  3. yes free for all healthcare like we have in the UK is a dirty communist thing to do, and you dont want to help the poor like the commie enamy would now do you? All hail america, where if you cant afford heathcare at least you get to die free!...
  4. yup its like that preacher, reverend jackson or w/e, going off at every innocent comment uttered by a "high ranking" person or celebrity.. i mean, im all for equality, but they are just turning it around. OMG, we cant say "!@#$%^&*" but they can say "cracker" etc. etc. etc words like "!@#$%^&*" have a valid reason for debate IMO (Though it is getting tired and actually making words like this more offencive rather then addressing the problem) Things have got to the point now where a term that has absolutely no racial connections at all is getting called into question because it refers to the colour black and can be used in a negative context. I wonder when someone is going to publicly declare that enough is enough so people can actually have a proper debate about things that matter without getting sidelined bu this PC bull!@#$%^&*. Apparently here in the UK a "blackboard" had to be called a "chalkboard" because "black" is racist. Apparently the simple fact that is is black is beyond the people that come up with these ideas. I think a whiteboard has an alternative name as well now though I cant remember what it is.
  5. http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=31896 it links to a fox news report. anyone else think this is just getting silly now? Black hole is a scientifically recognised term and in this case used in a valid context, however people take offence to it. next children wont be able to sing ba ba black sheep...
  6. is that for bicycles? you say motorcycles alot in that post.
  7. I would like to see the number of cyclists involved in an accident whilst wearing a helmet and the rates of head injury compared to non-helmet wearers. Only with these stats and proper statistical tests can we say that they are 100% unneccecary IMO.
  8. looks like this is getting quite a lot of coverage http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7505953.stm
  9. you can fall off a bike in any direstion. I have some off sideways before after hitting a slippy root in a turn, bounced up and got dumped off the side of my bike.
  10. lololololol lalalalalalalala spammmmmmmed
  11. try it temporarily, it will act only to see if you need to do more configuration with the firewall or not.
  12. yay I'm 12th! anyway back on topic. Does this actually surprise anyone?
  13. rofl nice

  15. depends what you are doing in the city, I frequently ride a 5.5 mile route to work where I reach speeds of up to 40mph and have to deal with high levels of congestion in others. In that case i think it would be stupid not to wear a helmet. If on the other hand you ride a short distance on a cycle lane at low speed you can probably get away with it. I think what the law is getting at is people to save money wont buy a helmet, have an accident and wind up injured. Here in the UK it is not compulsory but people seem to have the common sense to know when they should be wearing one. If you are doing MTB downhill you would also be an idiot not to be wearing full body armour and a full face helmet but thats a whole doffernt ball park to where this discussion is going.
  16. reason is simple. Idiots who cant keep their e-peins under control will browse the forum and look at any girls profile in the hope it might get them some pr0nz.

  18. nice stuff. Nothing wrong with expencive, out of all the parts to buy the MOBO wants to be the most futureproof
  19. 2 weeks ago I was out riding with a friend. He went over the bars whilst riding a steep bank and torpedoed head first into a log. He was fine but he shattered his helmet. off road they are 100% necessary. on road I think they are a good thing to wear. Whilst most things that will kill you probably won't be an impact to the head many crashes can involve a head impact. Also head impacts can be worse then impacts elsewhere.
  20. the NSFW warning is good enough for me, its not really pornographic so NP.
