  1. Development for this game has given us a programmable server and a client. The server is usable by any person who wishes to use it. The client is currently in beta stage and is quite functional. The billing server remains in limbo but is an eventuality. I don't understand why you don't see any development being done on this game. Try checking out: http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showforum=4 http://wiki.minegoboom.com/index.php/Main_Page
  2. Count of total council members posts in this thread: 4 members Development on this game is currently being made possible by numerous individuals such as Doc Flabby, Dr Brain, Bak-, Samapico and many more.
  3. Seems like a game that could be on PS3. That ever a possibility?
  4. This is the current plan. That was the previous method used to switch from VIE to continuum clients and the server telling the vie client to download continuum to play.
  5. I asked myself the same question... but I realized there are others MMO's out there that only work with "small" servers, and don't necessarily have one huge persistent world à la WoW. The term 'massively' multiplayer could mean two things: it's played in multiplayer a lot (i.e. no single player mode), or that the interactions happen between "massive" amounts of players. But since the limit of players in an arena or a zone is purely theoric, and not something like 16 or 32 players like in most other games that can be played in multiplayer, I guess it is a MMO Battlefield 2 is a multiplayer game because it has a player limit. MMO = no actual set limit (massively is the key word)
  6. Are you sure you're not overpaying for a script that is incredibly popular?
  7. MMO? Massively Multiplayer Online? Yes.
  8. What? The second guy to post is lots of fun on saturdays????
  9. There are 1000's who play this game. They just don't play all at the same time. In a year I may have a total unique player count.
  10. There is so many misconceptions about the council here. Amazing how people don't know what actually goes on around this game.
  11. Packet dumping on the trace. It's not your connection. It's a DOS type protection that the server is using to prevent you from spamming it with your trace. Best to get a sysop to do a trace for you.
  12. Either the guy is really dumb or this story is not true at all. One can do both at the same time.
  13. That is a cheat when done in a certain way and easily detectable.
  14. There was no story. The game was never really completed when VIE went bankrupt. They tried to prevent bankruptcy by releasing the game. It didn't help. When the game released that movie made the game look a lot more exciting than it really was. However this game did lay the groundwork for future MMO's.
  15. Subspace is what this game is called. Continuum is the client we are using to play it
  16. That number can be changed to ANYTHING.
  17. No, I'm not going to lock it unless some people post to it for no reason. Since nobody wants to take up the mantle it will remain a dead topic till or if that day comes.
  18. Ok so from what I gather the OP is looking for a host. It would probably be more wise to post this in the main forum as more people generally read it. I could be wrong though...
  19. Regardless. I will correct the problem with a netop not being online.
  20. What do you mean? IT's not like local bans 'prevent' putting netbans on him... we have all his info, and you can raise a local ban to a network ban. He'll just keep bypassing anyway... Luckily, he's the only person enough of a loser to keep doing it. He said something to PoLiX along the lines of: I feel bad for this game Why the hell is he doing all he can to hack everyone playing it if he feels bad for it? It makes no sense... What I ment was that the banning was done incorrectly. A local ban should never have been made in the first place. All it does is force the player to enter another zone. And to totally kill the fact that no netop was online....Pure_Luck is one.
  21. There is at least one network bang op in each zone, so there are a lot who may be online. Seems to me they were banned locally right away instead of network wide. Just lack of procedure Jab.
