Howdy all Summer is upon us again! I wish all sspacers much success in their en-devours for fun i played me some chaos again this rest to put the champs name back up top! I will next touch base in September after this week. If you are looking for me feel free to stop in KAOS and thanks for so many people coming and playing! I still think that 4v4 and chaos should be separate as they are vastly different environments as one is a place for fun and relaxing and another seems to breed chumply behavior and pushes others out. The only time i have crushed the spirits of others is when i find them looking it to do it to others. I'm sad when people who like 4v4 and try and play that format find themselves crushed out only to quit that format of game. Until people support each other in the enjoyment of playing they will not get more new players. I on the other hand am finding an influx of new players and younger players getting to know the game which i'm enjoying. So I will look to promote the classic chaos play again and of course zombie hunting Have fun in chaos all! don't forget to get some new maps! & I think you can see that the long safezone timers were better for people playing throughout the day. ...Axe

Use all those lvz to add Russian pics over-top of the info you want change the fonts to show Russian letters and type away. then just run a Russian server and zone and i'm sure you can enjoy it. Help Menu can be changed. Are you still trying to do anything with this? The Russian skin would of course go along way. If you did create one i'd love to download it. After all everything you see in the game is a picture of letter so thats not that hard to change. I could make it in the natural Klingon in which it was written. ,,,Axe

See what happens if you add your login info with scoreman or datviewer etc. Then see if you can get in. Would at least let you know if it had something to do with the .dat file. Also if you have a working directory just clone all the files and see if you can set up what you want instead of using the settings that aren't working right now. I had a lot of problems when one of my subbills got corrupted and i just started fresh and worked without issue. ...Axe

Has anyone done the trial and error to get Subspace running in windowed mode? dxwnd is the most basic way to go i assume. If anyone has used this please let me know the settings. If not and there is a better way to do it let me know! the basic -win doesn't work or at least not at the first attempt. Thanks ...Axe

Heya Ken! We will get it up and running! Step one figure out your local ips with "ipconfig" if you are on a windows machine. Step two: let see if another machine on your local network can join it. Add a manual Zone and instead of 127.0.0.1 use the number you find for that machine that you just checked. So add zone "192.168.xx.xx" as a possible answer. make sure your port is good. If you can join your zone locally we can move to the next step escaping your firewall/modem etc. Usual ports you need open 185/186 4991/4992 remember its UDP (not tcp which is usual default) the other thing is when i had problems it was my modems firewall i had to master not just my computer/lan/router. ...Axe ps email me the file if you want and i'll host it for you while your fixing it.

Careful to do 2 much revision better to play otherwise you will be stalled in crafting forever! As far as the corner safes. My suggestion would be One safe with a warp out gate. That way if you want to park with the option to escape you have to pick that one. Makes for good strategy in the chase! and of course i would pick the classic ball safe You can always ask Hallu to put your map up in a background arena like he did for me with my chaos0axe (chaos west 0bounty start) ...Axe

No many of the special tiles that can be run with drake and able to be played with Continuum can't be played with some of the older clients they will download the map and crash out when trying to play it. I'm sure its due to the fact those other tiles were supposed to be used later on. Much the same way as many of the invisible tiles were going to be turned into something later on. When Drake saves it in drake/continuum ready state the map will load and play with continuum, But that doesn't mean the old clients will like the format. . SSME is set for the older world of Subspace if SSME can load the map then SS1.34/1.35 can play it. Lvls etc i'm not worried about for classic SS as i thought most of the lvz over lay files were only for continuum but i have not played around much with lvz i'm sure i will later on but i only really care about game play. I like both map editors but SSME is more stable by far. Drake Map editor added lots of fun functions and to be able to play with the special tiles are also good. If you notice SSME doens't show you any of the tiles past 190. I;ve done a lot of work with every client i can find and always finding more tricks and workarounds to make everything play but i do appreciate your input ...Axe

Quick question about tiles while i'm here! can you make the bottom set of tiles ie the special tiles look like something else? I'm talking about the tiles that are invisible and usually look like red bricks? This is the area underneath where people usually do there tile choices. Or are they always invisible?for example tile 212 on the drake map editor and if they are invisible i wonder... can i make them appear on one of the custom clients that i have open source for. ...Axe PS hope you are doing well! and fire up a red baron for me! feel free to attack the graphics question and not worry about the programing question unless you want to!
