  1. D1, I found that way more humorous than I should have.
  2. It's not impossible to show the jackpot, but that takes dev time, something we're still short on. Showing the money and exp isn't exactly simple because it would vary quite a bit more than you might expect.

    Unban me

    No.
  4. We need competent devs that have free time. If you've never written your own ASSS module, don't bother asking.

    HS down?

It was my fault. When I fixed the crash bug the other day, I forgot to put the zone files back in the right place, so when Mook tried to restart the zone, it never came back up. It's working now.

    proxies

Ok, this thread has lived way too long.
  7. Rootbear (rootbeEr?), I wrote a chatnEt client for HS called chatnUt.
  8. Nanodyne burst damage was set to %150, btw.
  9. Swearing is illegal in game, and it's illegal in the HS forum.

    Bot Rules

I think you're operating on the false !@#$%^&*umption that we allow non-chat bots. We don't. That means none of this applies.

    Items

I'd like to see some of these things added, but I'd like to do a little balancing before I create them.

    Sensors

Changing res isn't possible. Changing radar is already an item, and has been since before armor worked properly. Some of the ideas on this thread aren't bad, but most of the rest aren't possible.
  13. It might make sense to change some of the item's ship requirements, but most of them are pretty good.
  14. No.
  15. I wasn't really paying too much attention to the exp requirements. I just wanted something people would have to work toward that wouldn't make a big impact on gameplay. The fact that TW passes are easier to get doesn't bother me.
  16. Deleted DBE's post because he posted inaccurate info. SSC stands for the SubSpace Council, a group that runs the largest billing server (password server) in subspace. We used to have access as part of SSCI, but moving to a new server blocked our access. Billers are password servers, so if the biller says you don't have access to an account you've been using in hyperspace, you'll no longer be able to play with that name.

    Bot Rules

Yes, chatnet based bots. All of the casino bots in hyperspace are player run.

    Bot Rules

I always value people's input. That's why I only rarely close topics.
  19. No it's not possible. A brick is a brick, as far as Cont is concerned.

    Bot Rules

Attention all bot owners, primarily casino bot owners. You may not PM entering players. Ever. Advertisements are also disallowed. It's just plain annoying. Bots that do not comply with this after 24 hours (March 3, 4:00PM EST) will be banned and have their names put on a block list (meaning no access to money). If you don't posses the technical skill to stop them, I suggest you remove them permanently from the zone.
  21. There are a few things I want to clarify: The biller password trumps any local password, so if you can play with your name in an SSC zone (Trench Wars and Extreme Games are both SSC zones), you'll be able to get it back in Hyperspace. We will be connected to the SSC biller. Some staff members have suggested connecting to a temporary biller, but this *will not* be happening. The only biller that will be connected is SSC. Using a temporary biller will make the problem worse. If you have been using an account that you do not control on SSC zones, then you will not be able to use it in Hyperspace. If you are banned in all SSC zones then you will not be able to play at all in Hyperspace. This is beyond our control, and no banfrees will be granted. Start looking for another zone now. If you're wondering why we've had no biller for the past 7 weeks, it's because the subspace council has direct control over who gets access to the biller, and Steigerwald has not been approved. We've submitted [multiple] requests for approval, but because the council is overburdened with work, they've all gone unanswered. We're still working on the situation, but attempting to hurry them will only cause the problem to be extended.

    Bak

He was never a staff member in HS.
  23. With an additional item type slot on all the items (or a linked list), that could be easily done with the current system. Just make a weight type.
  24. And make basing completely impossible. Sorry, no.
  25. At which point everyone will have to leave prizes behind when they die.
