Doesn't work that way. If we want kids to play in HS (and we do), then we need to make sure that when their parents walk by there won't be anything worrisome on the screen. That's why I started the rule, because when I started the zone *I* was a kid. I didn't want my SS privileges revoked because some people like to express their feelings more colorfully than others. Even after I got to a point where that's no longer an issue, there's no reason to remove the rule and make it harder for other kids to play HS.

Why should they expect it? There's no reason to expose children to it. There's plenty of reasons not to.

I believe that the cussing rule covers 99% of racism, and I'm honestly torn about covering the remaining part. If someone wants to argue that not all men are created equal without resorting to swearing or immaturity, I'm not really sure we should make rules to stop them. Racism rules in other zones cover swearing in a very limited sense. I'm going to say we've already got it covered by our blanket ban on swearing.

Who do I think I am? I think I'm the proprietor of an establishment that has children as its primary patrons. You go into a private playground and start swearing. See how long before you get kicked out. Freedom of speech means that you can express any idea without fear of *government* retribution. It doesn't defend swearing or obscenity. It also says nothing about how private en!@#$%^&*ies can react. I'm well within my rights to ask you to leave for swearing in my house (or for expressing an idea, even). It's the same thing in the zone. You can claim freedom of speech and not leave, but you'll actually be booked for tresp!@#$%^&*ing.

It doesn't apply to priv freq chats because of practicality: there's no easy way to moderate it. But swearing in one chat and not another is always a bad idea. Mistyping will get you fined/banned.

By that argument, there should be no laws. By your logic, if speed limits worked, no one would speed, even when the cops aren't around. So lets remove all the speed limits and not care how many people die as a result. Gotcha.

It's an ASSS bug that crops up every now and then. I forget the cir!@#$%^&*stances that it requires, exactly. Something like the map being updated without recycling the arena.

Seems to me that you're just mad that you got banned. The rule stays, and no, it's not contradictory. Darn is a way to say !@#$%^&* without swearing. WTF is the same idea.

Rather than taking a screen shot, just leave and reenter the zone. That forces the zone to write all your information to disk. These types of errors are pretty rare though. On the whole, the database has performed extremely well under difficult conditions.

Biology 101: Genes are tied to evolution. Genes that prevent reproductive activity get weeded out. Genes that promote reproductive activity get more prevalent. Over millions of years, any gay gene would have been weeded out to the point that it would be *much* rarer than things like six-fingered hands (since that doesn't affect reproduction). If there's a gay gene, it's not what drives the majority of the gay population.
