How the !@#$%^&* do you play a .mp4 :?
-
rofl yea that one is hilarious. Embedded version: Following SyrusMX's example, I've added BBCode to allow you to embed Google video the same way you did with Youtube video's. You only need the docid that's in the url when you view a google video. (Just like with youtube video's). Embed it here using the googlevideo tag: [googlevideo]6204903272262158881[/googlevideo]

He probably reads the forums here but never replies unless there's a reason to reply. Nothing wrong with that.

You actually need to disable DEP for Continuum What anti-virus / firewall / anti-spam / protection programs are you running?
-
Just ignore the reASSS aka Smarties, way more peacefull Why is the dollar compared to the canadian dollar btw? Maybe because they both started as equals or something like that?
-
Try this: (You can find the DEP properties at the Data Execution Prevention tab in System Properties.) If this doesn't solve the problem, post every anti-virus / firewall / anti-spam / protection program you have running on your pc.

Check if your directory server list contains "sscentral.sscuservers.net, ssdir.playsubspace.com". Also make sure there isn't a firewall blocking the connection. If you want to be sure if it's your firewall or not, turn every firewall off (temporary) and try again.

Huh indeed. I will modify it and send it to Wonderer. Good find

I'm waiting for the pc version
-
yea correct Samapico. I probably had a blurry moment

If you mean ssdownloads.com, it already has the latest client for download. (Even though there are listed 2 Continuum 0.40 downloads but they appear to be the same; Continuum040Setup.exe & continuum .40.)

Dreamhost is celebrating their 10th anniversary and they are offering some crazy discounts in honor of it I don't want to advertise this nor make you buy it. I only want to let you know since I'm quite satisfied with Dreamhost and this offer is really cheap. Dreamhost is offering 500 GB Disk Storage, 5 TB Monthly Bandwidth, plus many more features for $9.95/month (1 year prepaid) to $5,95/month (if you pay for 10 years). However, if you buy this in combination with promo code "10ten10diez10dix10dieci10shi" that Dreamhost is offering for the first 1010 customers you get $110.10 off your bill, so you only pay $9.30 for the first year. After the first year you can always stop the hosting and switch to a different host if you don't like Dreamhost. I'm actually switching to this plan since it's cheaper then the one I have now. Unfortunately I can't use the promo code since I'm an existing customer. If the promo code isn't available anymore you can always use my promo code "DREAMPROMOMAX" which will take $97 off the bill (it's the maximum amount of discount with regular promo codes). Want to buy it? Do me a favour and put me as your referral (you'll be my first lol). Just click the link below and enter my e-mail address as referral when signing up. () Click here for more information to the Dreamhost 10th Anniversary. P.S. If you think I'm making lots of money if you put me as your referral then you're wrong. I only get 10% of what you pay if you don't use any promotional code at all (you must be really stupid or rich if you don't). Like I said, I don't want to make you buy it. Even if you do I probably don't gain anything out of it

Which latest version? http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?!@...;action=history

Unpinned. The download has been spread amongst most of the main Continuum download websites. Note: The version of Continuum040Setup.exe that's on www.ssbase.com differs from the one that was released earlier. If you compare the two (they have the same name), you'll notice the one from ssbase.com is a bit bigger. If you see any websites still using the earlier release, please get them to update their version to the latest. Downloads listed here are all providing the latest release.

Just saying some tutorial you've seen is crap and the client isn't sufficient really doesn't help in this discussion. Have you found a better or different tutorial-like manual somewhere? I think you can recreate the original Subspace tutorial with bots but it takes a whole lot of time and effort to make such a thing work.

Upgrade Installation Instructions - Continuum 0.40 Copied from SSBase Continuum 0.40 is a full release. This means that the installer application performs the full installation and does not have an upgrade package. Some changes have been made to the installer software to backup and restore player profiles and passwords. However, care must be taken to manually backup and preserve both the profile information and password information from your current Continuum installation before installing the new version. Failure to backup and restore this information can result in the loss of all profile and password information. Please be aware that if passwords are lost, the SSC Billing Policy states that information on both accounts must be identical in order for a request to be granted. It is also important to note that manually loaded shipset files will also be overwritten by the installation procedure; it should not have an effect on shipsets loaded via zone LVZ files. Step 1: Backup Your Account Profile Locate your Continuum folder (defaults to C:\Program Files\Continuum\). Locate the file called profile.dat Copy this file to your Desktop or other location outside your Continuum install folder. Step 2: Backup Your passwords Click Start. Click Run. Type "regedit" (without quotes). This will open the Windows Registry Editor. Locate your Continuum folder. It will be located under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Continuum/. Expand the Continuum folder. Locate the folder called passwords. Right click on the passwords folder. Select Export. Save the file as ContinuumP!@#$%^&*words.reg on the Desktop or other location outside your Continuum install folder. Step 3: Install Continuum .40 Please note that installing Continuum .40 over your current Continuum installation will overwrite your Continuum.Exe and other core game files. It will not erase other files you have already downloaded, such as zone-specific graphics and sounds. The exception to this is manually loaded shipsets and default files, as noted above. In sum, you should be able to install Continuum .40 over your existing installation with no issues. The installer software should backup and restore your profile and password information automatically. In the event that it does not, follow these steps to restore your profile and password information: Restoring Your Account Profile: After the install process is complete, close Continuum (if it is running). Copy the profile.dat file into your Continuum folder. Select Yes to replace the file (the backup should be larger than the file you're replacing). Restoring Your passwords: Double click on the ContinuumP!@#$%^&*words.reg. Select Yes when prompted to confirm that you want to add the information to the registry. Select OK when the process is complete. Run Continuum.exe and verify that your profile and password information have been successfully restored.
