  1. You should contact @Lynx for server hosting, LtNirvana.
  2. You've posted in the wrong forum. Please post your topic at this forum: http://forums.trench...1-TW-Staff-Bans
  3. What do you mean with peer protocol? As I see it now, there is no reliable way to overcome the problem of population inflation caused by the new functionality. This is because subgame simply reports the total population as being higher then normal because of the subarenas. The only possible fix is to query a bot for the population of the arenas excluding those of the other zones. But using a bot would be very unreliable.
  4. Dr Brain, I think PoLiX was reacting to Avast's post. The last post on page 1 was made by Avast.
  5. Version 0.38

    130 downloads

Continuum 0.38 is the older and deprecated version of the Continuum client. Added here for archive purposes.
  6. It's apparently clear that Continuum is dying, no point in denying it. Elaborate, please?
  7. PoLiX, Mind restarting the directory server sscentral.com ?
  8. I've noticed inflated populations of mainly SSCU Death Star Battle. Entr0py has given answer to my questions why this is happening at the DSB Forums:
  9. Sigh seems like zones are faking their population because of inter-zone-switch arenas. Lets hope the fake population can be fixed while keeping the functionality :/
  10. Nobody has all the files but Priit K.; 17th Parallel was hosted on the same server as Trench Wars. I was (along with Pure_Luck) one of the last few people who had remote access to the server at one point. Samapico probably has alot of files but far from all files (or please tell me otherwise, Sama ).
  11. I think it's safe to say that Priit shut the zone down for good So long 17th Parallel
  12. I've added support for our main directory server, sscentral.sscuservers.net ! Also some old offline directory servers were removed. We currently have 5 directory servers up and running (1 of them being quite unreliable though). If you want to help someone use these directory servers in the client, please use http://directoryservers.sshq.net/ .
  13. Stargate!
  14. I think your message will have a better purpose here: http://www.extreme-games.net/phpBB3/
  15. No thanks, keep up the good work
  16. Samapico, do you still have connections with MikeTheNose? He must know what's happening.
  17. jabjabjab, do you need some webspace to publish your client? I can give you webspace under *.sshq.net or *.ss-network.net. I'm interested in helping programming your client. Can you publish your source files in a source code repository? Idea; publish the source files in a subversion repository in your own webspace (under sshq.net or ss-network.net).
  18. Is 17th Parallel down for good? http://stats.sshq.net/graphs/graph_15_2.png
  19. I guess nobody is really using that service so nobody realized
  20. Compromise would be great, Jab. BBCode for text would be too much complexity for a simple chat system subspace uses. I doubt anyone would use it as it takes too much effort for a few simple chat lines. As a user you just want to quickly chat with other people without making use of BBCode. Only people who intend to be annoying would color their messages on purpose. Keep in mind that the chat system works so brilliantly is (amongst other features) because it's color coded by type of message. Arena messages are green, chat messages are maroon, public messages are blue, etcetera.
  21. That's very handy to confirm the *arena message you just have done. Don't forget people would like to make sure the commands they did resulted in something. Normally you won't get a response to a *command if you don't have the rights to do so. JavaSpace would be a very bad name in my opinion. It would just create attention to the fact that it is a java client. Once you have the client working properly, nobody would / should care that it's programmed in Java or in COBOL :-)
  22. No, the bots of subgame are just simple clients (just like Continuum). They can't mess with the server, as no normal client can either. A bot would be able to mess with packages but it won't ever be able to "create" another player in the zone with the same bot handling it's packets. I'm not sure if I can reveal this information but how TWChat works is just the same as you would allow any other bot connect to a zone. ;-) Polix's guess was correct on the first page I don't think Snrrrub's service is up either - his directory server has been down for quite a while already.
  23. As far as I can see, subspace.com isn't for sale. It's owned by Richard Merit (I don't know who he is) and his current registration will expire in 2012-10-22 (which will most likely be renewed). Simply put, it's not possible to get the domain. PS. Fun fact: I just discovered that the previous owner still has subspace.net for sale
  24. directoryservers.sshq.net didn't show it up earlier is most likely because the page is cached so it loads faster once it's cached. The cache expires after 60 minutes.
