I would actually like to see more pub based events. I'm sure instead of 7 different bases, we could limit it to four bases or something and have sectors designated and specific arenas. That could help alleviate the entire events kill pub thing
  2. Any rating would need to be staff approved, to prevent attempted manipulation of this module. Any staffer, probably keep it mod and above or something.
  3. Was wondering if it would actually be possible to have an interactive player decided evener. Players can rank/rate players on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most impactful. Essentially /?rank 5 The module would then take the average of the player and they would have a value between 1-10. This would prevent a team of 10 and 10 being against a team of 1 and 1 even though the "exp" requirement is fulfilled to allow it. Then you could have a +/- 2 player situation where no matter what so that way teams do not get too out of whack. This would be based on how a player feels and can change how you feel accordingly.

  5. Never noticed if it does or doesnt do that, but if it is the latter, then it doesnt make sense. It makes less sense to have all bombs do the same though.
  6. That's the entire point, splash. A lvl1 splash hitting a larger ship, the ship attached is better protected because of it. A lvl1 bomb has limited damage for a lanc, same applies to the ship's attached to it, and the greater the splash damage, the greater the damage.

  10. Protecting the lanc is part of that reasoning. You need to protect your lanc or have more than one lanc. I've been able to sit in a coffin for about 3 secs and still leave it with plenty of energy. Also there was someone trying to keep me in there mind you. It's because I was in a good position and the coffin was minimized somewhat. If you sit in a corner and get coffined, you should die. A lanc shouldnt be able to sit in coffin and take its time to get out. As for coffin still shooting out bursts even after you've died, yes that is a problem and should be fixed.
  11. I've already lanc'd a few times with the debuffed radiating coils. I've survived plenty of coffins, both prior to using radi lanc and after the debuff of radi lanc. If you know how to position yourself, so you're not in a corner or in a narrow area, you're relatively safe. Often your team is a great deterrent from having a well placed coffin, and after that there's a nice delay so they cant do it every rush attempt, unlike before. Lancing isnt about being able to sit in a coffin and walk out like nothing happened, it's about playing careful and with thought about what you're doing. If you rush in and dont back away from rushers who you know will try to clear you, of course you're going to get cleared and you deserve to be cleared if that's the case.

  13. In an ideal and reasonable situation, you can lay a brick > die > TW to scrap and salvage > get another brick > attach to your lanc > brick again All before the prior brick is gone or at least died just seconds ago
  14. I think adding in a "mini brick" item wouldnt be such a bad item. 1x1 brick is rather minimal and easy to walk around as long as the path isnt 2x2. I would imagine it's meant to stall the larger enemy than anything. This might be the one brick I would think would be ok to respawn with. Bricks are they are now arent ..... Horrible, but they could be better. Either way I would still like to see the live time lowered. Reps are fine as is, if anything I'd want them weakened, you just need to know when to rep against thors. The biggest problem is when the splash hits you and your teammate caused the thor to go off. I've seen 2 thors pushed away with one repel, and even sometimes 3 thors by one repel. Normally a good thorrer will attempt to bunch up their thors to cause max damage, if all three are targeted to hit you all at once, if you can time the repel it should rep 2-3 of the thors.

  16. We've had periods where bricks are used quite a bit... The end game is, whoever bricks the most wins. Being able to stall them from being used over and over and over is the only thing keeping them at bay. If anything, the brick live time needs to be lowered.

  18. Not sure about EG, but in HS bursts are all the same for each ship, the only small varying difference might be the angel simply because of the size of the ship, but even then I dont believe it is. The speed/distance/etc are virtually equal for all ships.
  19. The difference is that it's much easier to achieve a much higher damage with inactshrap than it is to achieve with bursts. It's not unheard of where 75% or more of the inactshrap will hit someone, much of this is dependent on the speed of the ship, speed of the bomb and angle. Bursts are dependent on the location of the player to the wall and relatively easy to predict. The only time you should be bored is if your team is overpowered and no one is able to come at you. If you a bored in lanc and dying, you're obviously doing it wrong. The key for lancing without being virtually immune to bursts is positioning. You dont want to be in a corner, you do not want to be in a narrow area, and you want to stay just out of enemy gun line reach, but as close as you can to front so that you can deploy attachers quickly. If you feel you should be virtually immune to bursts and be able to sit in a coffin for a few secs without dying, then your idea of "balance" of off. The point of signature protection isnt meant to make you immune, it's meant to make you much more resistant than the second option. Which radiating still does incredibly well.

I think at one point antiwarp did stop TW, but I could be wrong.
  22. Max damage from one full burst is 4160 and with coils and kinetic it's 1560. Realistically a best case scenario, 50% will hit at best, assuming this is in a corner. If you are stupid enough to sit in a corner, and let the rusher burst you 3x in a row, you deserve to die. Signature protection items are meant to make you resistant to whatever they're meant to protect, not virtually immune. A typical situation in a base is as follows: Rusher A is attempting to rush, takes damage from the incoming weaponry from the opposing team. This in turn forces Rusher A to either use reps and or bursts to minimize damage as best as possible. Lanc A is sitting back not getting hit by anything and not forced to use specials at all. Rusher A gets to Lanc A, Rusher A thought is severely weakened, Lanc A easily kills Rusher A. Radiating Coils may have drawbacks, the minimal bullet and bomb protection, but realistically a lanc doesnt need that great of a protection from those two. I have lanc'd in thor storms with metaphasic and have survived relatively easily. This is due to the fact that the lanc size is a natural protection from the majority of bombs and a minor increase does nothing to greatly hinder this. Lvl1 bomb splash doesnt do much if anything, and most rushers will have salvo which is a lvl1 bomb. A rusher that finally reaches the lanc will have minimal energy to shoot at you and the bursts it did save, they may not even be able to use all of them.
  23. cxc, you've said it yourself, you were essentially immune to bursts. How is that not op and needing a nerf?

  25. Updated to 0-5. Unfortunately I'm not really interested in the specific consoles, but more just the overall picture of the video game console industry. I could only do 5 questions for the poll, so I had to choose carefully.
