  1. How does crank2 work, he fell out of a plane... bounced off a car... and his eye sagged... I dunno, even in bullshit films that means they're dead.

  4. I can't be arsed to read this topic, but... 60K-100K a year Americans cleaning toilets? Reality check, anyone? -L
  5. Firstly, I am not arguing any point what-so-ever. I'm simply stating that faith derives from impossibilities, and the sheer unknown. Also, that faith, and your question will present an answer that is nothing more than something which is philosophical in nature. Therefore, from that I summarised the futility of both your question, and the answers which it will receive. I also don't see how I've put words in your mouth, if anything you've put words into the mouths of others. I also find your reference of Cantor equating the Absolute Infinite with God to be very manipulative to this argument. Just because his belief of the Absolute Infinite is God, doesn't make your theory any more compelling. Somebody who has studied infinity all their lives are still just as useless to this argument, as infinity has no end in any case. What = Infinity How = Theory of Infinity Why = Philosophy to drive proof form that theory = impossibility. -L
  6. I'd done so well avoiding this topic for so long, but what the heck... 'Tigron> And if you want me to prove to you the existence of such a being, then I ask you to first prove infinity.' It's questions such as these that 'faith' always thrives from. You look at something which seems impossible, from your point of view and lack of knowledge, then therefore assume that there is an almighty power which created this impossibility. Take the case of even simple happenings when something happens. You'll find that three questions arise - what, how and why. You will get an answer to the first question within a short period of time, as it is physical in nature. You have to spend more time to answer the second question. It is mental in nature. Different persons may give different answers for the third question. But you will never get a true answer for it - it is philosophical in nature. This by no means proves any higher power, unless that is your own comprehension, therefore showing the futility of your question in the first place. Hence: 'Tigron> my comprehension is limited to my imagination.' -L
  7. network boot is different, but you can use that. -L
  8. WoL It's a pretty straight forward, but maybe tough to implement on the G1 for security reasons. I'm sure there are applications that can make the whole process a lot more streamlined (there are for the Mac). -L
  9. I don't really see a reason to jailbreak the iPhone yet, maybe sometime. -L
  10. It's all on the iPhone too. -L
  11. The only one that seems all that bad is the cheese, because of the obvious health factors. -L
  12. Face it, the guy who wrote that article is basically equivalent to: http://www.infendo.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/nerd-46422.jpg I could not find the funny. -L
  13. Lol, I was thinking the same ^^
  14. This if off topic, but what the heck. I'd have to agree with Sama, unless something is targeted at a certain group of people (i.e. a games advert on a games forum) you're not going to get a high number of clicks. I'd suggest for MySpace advertising there should be something about Continuum being: Play your MySpace friends on a massively multilayer online game (don't say MMO, because only geeks will know wtf that means) for free - no FLASH required, play anywhere have some basic pictures of the ships and whatnot, then see how many clicks:ads you get. Advertising something quite arbitrarily on a networking site will never work. I mean, lie if you need to, whatever. -L

  16. There's also Xbox dev, apparently they have good tools to make development easier. -L
  17. LOL, that was a good find. -L
  18. Get a Mac
  19. I've only skim-read this topic, so sorry if I'm repeating anybody. First things first, you should look for a Vista repair CD, if you don't have one then download one. If you can't download one, ask somebody if you can borrow theirs. If you can't do that, contact your vendor and request one, at most they'll charge you $5. Now as I know you're a tight-fisted fucker, check on the HDD in Knop for a recovery partition, or some recovery files. If that's not an option, for whatever reason then boot up in Knop, and use an array of DVDs and a backup utility to save all of your important information (as you appear to be limited to HDD space). ... Back to the tight-fisted-ness, if that's also not an option try and find a redundant computer, take apart your external HDD and load the HDD from the redundant computer into the external HDD. The worst case scenario is that you'll have an incompatible HDD to External HDD jack (SATA vs IDE) and your external HDD won't be as fresh as it once were. Hopefully that will provide you with a little more disk space for your files. Once you've done that, get Linux, and get used to it. Shit like this doesn't happen. If you want an even better option, buy a Mac and never need to worry about this kind of shit happening... Ever. Then, try to grab any drivers or anything as such from the HDD (I think I read you were doing this from a Laptop) - this will save you some time. Usually there is a partition on the HDD with a backup/restore/drivers etc. Grab that, if you're lucky enough t have it. I saw some comments outlining chkdisk etc, read them, they're useful. If you're lucky enough, that *could* fix the issue, but with the experience I've had of HDDs failing (yes it's happened to me a few times), it probably won't go down well. Looking on the positive side, it's just a corruption, not a complete hard drive failure. -L
  20. Sounds like a good idea, I've fiddled with some Wiimote stuff using my Mac and it should be quite easy to implement provided you're just using the simple buttons. Toggle sticks and accelerometers are another story, though. -L
  21. http://getcontinuum.com/advertise/5.gif Lol, Prit design that one or something? -L
  22. Most simple is creating a text file, calling it autorun.inf then insert [autorun] open=.exe icon=.ico -L Also, may be wise to add: * Latest Wine * Wine patch * Wine patched for Continuum * Links Page Oh, further more you can configure the autorun file to be more complex, i.e. recognise OS and then run either just ctm setup for win, open a selection picker for linux (either wine patched for the people who don't already use wine, or a patch for wine for those who already have wine installed) -L Actually, I'm sure that you could run a shell to try and locate wine, then patch wine accordingly. -L (3rd time lucky, I hope) http://autorun.moonvalley.com/autoruninfeditor.htm
  23. ^^ I feel better now.
  24. I thought you not getting SSC was due to more political issues, although I can't really remember them. I have an SSC slot, I might give it to you - that would mean you keep all your population as you're already on SSA and you get the only advantages of SSC billing (cross zone chat, usage). Biller quality wise, you're better with the Isometry biller that Snrrrub provides, and if you're getting population - then I just wonder why bother? Anyway, I'd have to talk to CRe> about the move, as he's also interested in doing some work for Supernova, and if would rather keep SSC (as we're both pretty chatty in-game) then we'd probably keep the slot. If your zone is actually good, then... Well, I'd be more compelled to give it to you. I dunno, we'll talk in game. I'll check your zone out and we could even think about a merger. I don't really care much (i.e. I wouldn't want to be owner or anything of the likes) but I'd like to do a little work here and there. Anyway, I'll talk to CRe> before I be too hasty. -L
