i disagree. i literally started out poor. to the point where you can say my friends (older ones) were my family, they supported me financially. i don't know where you guys are from, but i was from the hood, and i never saw any education opportunities. maybe if you were white, it was there. but i'm not white, and neither were a lot of my friends who were trying to go somewhere in life. the system is really set up to keep the poor where they are. don't get me wrong, there are people who are poor and get to the top, but very few compared to the amount of middle class and high class people who get there as well. i agree...i'm spanish myself and it pisses me off when people of any ethnic background don't understand english. even though America doesn't have a national language, it's pretty much !@#$%^&*umed that English should be known, since you can say that it's the universal language.

i really didn't have any other choice... science isn't my best subject, nor is math. i've always been best at english... courses that require writing essays, analyzing situations, etc. at one point i wanted to be a forensic scientist but i can't stand blood, so that was out. i'm happy with kinesiology though, it's a broad course, so you can go in any direction after graduating.

i came from nothing... and it was hard for me. generally speaking though, it's not really easy for the poor to get rich. i think it's easier for middle class.

well...kinesiology, pyschology and sociology doesn't require labs. kinesiology... the only lab that i have is just physical activity... participating in sports, or calculating oxygen intake, stuff like that.

i love it here. but with me, i don't really need to study everyday. most of what i'm learning is common sense. i'm taking courses in kinesiology, psychology and sociology.

keep in mind im studying in Canada and i usually do my readings at night or when i'm off work on the weekend... i dont count that towards how many hours i spend at school. at my university, a full-time student is someone who's taking at least 18 credits a year. half semester courses = 3 credits. full year round courses = 6 credits. classes that require more work (essays, etc.) = 9 credits. a full course load = 30 credits and right now i'm at 24 credits.

i dont put in 40- hours a week into school lmao. more like 9-10 hours. full-time = amount of credits you're getting. and im in the entertainment industry... you dont need experience lol.

for those who do live in Canada, until you've been to America and seen the schools, I don't think you really understand what I mean when I say that their education system really sucks. Take me for example.... if I went to school in America (Brooklyn), do you know where i'd be right now? No where. I'd probably be dropped out of school, working at a dead end job, no post-secondary education, smoking weed, doing !@#$%^&* with my life. But I chose to go to school in Canada and now I'm in university, getting my degrees, etc. You guys don't understand that being of a race other than White... you don't get good education in America. Teachers don't care about you so that becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy for kids who are a visible minority. The system is pretty much set up to help those at the top, and leave those at the bottom. The rich get richer while the poor get poorer.

in a week i work about 58 hours, sometimes up to 72 hours when i don't have school (may-august, december). !@#$%^&*uming that i do work 58 hours all year around, thats almost 140k, my salary a year is over 140k, before taxes. oh, and i have thought about quitting school, but that's not where i wanna be headed. my job is just temporary, until i graduate with my degrees, find a job. money isn't everything to me, i'm not as money hungry as you all think i am lol. because the job im gonna get will probably only make about -100k/year.

yes, but remember i get paid hourly. and when i do work, it's over 8 hours a day, so i get paid overtime for that. i don't make as less as someone who generally gets paid the same amount as me. tell me why you're such a !@#$%^&*.
