Well, this is an idea since imo, since I find theres a real lack of squad coordination besides the usually gang up together to lanc rush a team. The event should/can be hosted Weekly/Bi-Weekly as a weekend event. The event takes place in another arena that has a different map but people's ship stats can be kept. The event is basically two teams, mainly two different squads going against each other for that one base in that one arena. The event will be timed event instead of the traditional holding flags until it drops. General Layout of Base: -2 Entrances: Back and Front. The back entrance is for the defenders (that spawns in the back area) while the front is for attackers. Initially, the base will be neutral so both squads fighting will be spawned at the front area (different spawn location). -There will be a bigger sized room (you could say flag room) in the middle of the base (probably abit closer to the back entrance). That room is where the "computer terminal" is located, the terminal allows the atking squad to seize control of the base. The terminal can be represented by a cluster of flags that can't be picked up but changes color to the freq who owns it. -The Base will consider of multiply routes do different choke points around the base. Some smaller than others so you could have a special squad (consist of wb/jav/shark) fly through pipes and attack the defenders/attackers) Terms For Winning: -If base is neutral (in the first battle for the base): The squad that holds the computer terminal for the longer time during the event gains control and gets the base -If base is already owned, the attacking freq just needs to hold that computer terminal room for 5 mins to win. (Hold as in they dont get pushed out of the room which means as long as someone is in it, they are still holding it) -If your defending the base, just make sure the attackers wont win Some Stuff I Considered for the Event: -Maximum 2-3 Lancs, 1-2 Levis, and 3 weasels allowed per team, rest are unlimited. This will prevent the re!@#$%^&*ed item/tank fest that happens in pub games. Maybe a limit on terrier? -Ship Layout will be loaded from pub so people can use their pub designed ships -Killing ppl will not result in gaining money or exp. -Shops will be available for people to purchase non-reusable items like fields/bricks but it will take abit of time to get there so you can spam fields continuously -The attacking/defending squads can hire mercenaries whom are players that doesnt belong in your squad. The Defending freq cant have more than % the amount of people that the attacking freq has -At the end, the freq that wins gets the jackpot or a sum of money spread out amongst the players in that freq -Also, the base should only give the defending freq the advantage of bombline to a certain degree so it wouldnt be impossible to lose base Reasons To Get Base: Why bother to get the base? Heres why: The members of the squad who owns the base can access a special shop that only exists inside that base. The shop will allow those members to buy an item that is abit stronger than the normal public items like a Quantum Reactor that gives +3 recharge instead of +2. Something that is noticeable but doesnt give a huge advantage. And you get bragging rights =p
