I believe the issue some people have with this is that until they update their zone lists, some people will go in solely on the belief that it is still Hyperspace.Not to mention that HS is on the default zone list, so new players will automaticly see Redplanet.

You can get a slot on SSCU/SSCX if your zone is worthy enough. SSCU/SSCX aren't !@#$%^&* servers, they don't open their resources to every player who wants to start a zone. Becides, I'm pretty sure that dev zones can be hosted on a player's own internet connection just fine, since they don't typically undergo a whole lot of traffic.

na, this game is player ran and admined. As long as people want to play it, it will never vanish.

Hyperspace will find a new host no problem, they've been around long enough and always come back. As far as you getting banned though, it's their zone, they can ban whoever they want for whatever reason. And your ban had nothing to do with HS being shut down.
