Eventually Swift hired me as a mod for the trash talk forum and I guess around the same time I grew up. Believe me, people think I'm bad now, you should have seen me then...

You also need to put time into this game, or create something that's actually worth playing. If you really want to "move up" in this game, create a zone that's original and people will play on a constant basis. You need to actually DO something here, not just show up.

I'd just stick with what you have now until the site is complete, then move over to the new server for the launch of the site once everything is done. That way you have little downtime between the sites.

I don't care if it's not their primary service, it's still ridiculas pricing. Anyway, as far as this site, I would recommend a few of the admins pitch in and just get a dedicated server and do more than just host this site. With the dedicated you would have complete control over everything, plus you could host zones, maybe a biller, possibly some other continuum stuff, I dunno. $120 split between 3 or 4 admins isn't much, and you'd all have equal share of the server.

Just looking around Dreamhost's site, I can tell their items are incredibly over priced. Windows VPS's start at $144/mo for a base plan, that's B.S. right there. Their dedicated servers are even more of a joke. Plus they run $50 setup fees on webhosting accounts...$50?! Seriously. The market is so flooded with webhosters now, that there's no need to charge $50 setup fees to point and click.

ipsclass.php errors are always fun. It was probably fixed here unknowningly by an upgrade/update. I would hit up IPSBeyond (Invision's support site) and see if they can help you. http://www.ipsbeyond.com/forums/ (note, you need to have a legit copy of Invision to view this site.
