  1. It's better, but the tab is messed up still. Missing stuff, and why have 6 times 'team city'? +logo works though - Fails to recognize between home and away team. If I put myself as "9-1" (home-away), and say I'm the away team, it records the points from the home team and puts them as mine. -Goals for/goals against is the same problem -penalty minutes are recorded as powerplay minutes if you put yourself as 'away' team.
  2. It's called A) automatically got downloaded twice, and B ) popup blocker.
  3. After criticizing Devastation, (a zone which you've never been to), I expect this 'revival' to prove you can do better. <_<
  4. I always used to use it too, but putting it under the buttons bar is by far too tacky for my taste, especially when using a lot of quicklinks + google toolbar + tabs&tools bar; it looks out of place.
  5. Ok, so I've been having this problem a lot recently with Internet Explorer 7. What happens is that the menu bar is off by default (and I don't blame it, MS people put it in an aweful re!@#$%^&*ed spot), and it will sometimes appear. More accurately described, especially when switching between tabs the window will shake/fidgit rapidly, caused by the menu bar appearing&disappearing to eventually stay stuck on appear until you click something. It's really annoying, and is not restricted to switching tabs, it sometimes does it for no reason. 1. No, I don't care about Firefox atm. 2. It's unrelated to spyware/adware/w.e afaik; I've checked. 3. I'm running Windows XP sp2, on a Dell Inspiron|6400 laptop. Same problem as this guy. Any help besides setting the hideous menu bar as appear would be appreciated. (even then, the bug is still there as the menu's highlighted, but atleast it prevents the screen from having an earthquake)
  6. I just noticed... SVS is so boring, and most zones don't even use it anymore...
  7. Planning ahead is a good idea, I'm on board. Definitely massive ad-campaign and whatnots, but let's hope it doesn't fail like previous attempts.
  8. とうきょう is where I am edit: it's not accepting unicode... stupid forum... Tokyo*
  9. What an aweful thing to hope for.
  10. 24.25 the white ball keeps haxing me
  11. Saying the zones are listed green is like saying you have a nose, and a problem. Do you receive ping? Do zones go red after a while? Have you tried entering different zones? Try running a "trace", and do abouot 100+ cycles and post the info back here. There are 2 reasons: 1. Firewall 2. Your ISP lags too much from your computer to the server. For firewall what are you running? McCafe? ZoneAlarm? FPF?
  12. Yeah, nothing to lose. But I never quite viewed people as a "cult" following SubSpace/Continuum.
  13. http://forums.sscentral.com/index.php?showtopic=15248 There's many different coding languages for many different projects, so a bit more specific would help.
  14. Perhaps a suggestion would be to request some aid from SSDev (I don't know what they can do yet, but it's worth a try). While Deva's ASSS main is almost done (though some things left out atm), it lacks its proper events. Sure, we could use Devabot, but that'd ruin the purpose of swiching over to ASSS. As for maps, it's more as if there's no one to agree & upload the maps/bases, etc.
  15. Based on SOS' comment about not having an in-game commands list, I decided F1 would list player commands + duel arena commands (see updated 1st post), but for staff it would be a command similar to "?how" which would list the essentials from Hallowed's Devastation ASSS manual. I decided to name it "ql", for "quicklist". If you have an alternative suggestion, please say so (since staff are the ones who'd use it most ) Edit: on an unrelated note, no-anti would be a good thing to add, and it's already premade, so edit, compile and go! ql.py
  16. Okonomiyaki is good though, did you go in one of those restaurants where you get to make it yourself on the hot plate? You should try Takoyaki, it's really good
  17. 1. Yeah, maybe you're right, then it would save the time of always fixing it after. Will fix later. 2. I would... but, I can't. My scripting is limited to python for ASSS, and Deva's already got most of what it needs for the zone (except events such as race, which I might attempt sometime when I have time )
  18. typo for slacking
  19. And while I had free time, I wrote the "?how" command for the ASSS zone using python. (does the exact same thing as the current .how command, just I cleaned it up). Feel free to use it/edit it, my coding ain't perfect, but it works. Edit: to prove it works: how.py
  20. Should I suppose you need these in a .wav format? or other is acceptable?
  21. I've basically just updated the F1 file to provide more accurate details of the current staff. That, plus I added my artistic talent in it. (saved in the file below, feel free to test it before using it if you don't trust me)... I'll provide a screenshot in a bit. Edit: it's also been suggested that Shad0ws, and T-Man be moved to inactive status. And should I add death+? Edit2: I may make a second version tomorrow, adding a list of ASSS commands (for Deva's ASSS zone of course). Edit3: Added ASSS commands lookup (except staff commands), fixed the other one based on suggestions. Looks funny, but meh, it works: commands.lvz
  22. Well before jumping to conclusions, the one reason Deva still has a decent population is because of tm_master. It's not that one or the other is either right or wrong, and if we play the "comparing" game, we'll just end up like all the other zones. We need to get more players into the zone by different mediums (events, development, updates, website, etc.); it's just a matter of pushing the need for these things. If we all sit back and say "hey, our zone has a problem", and no one fixes things, then there's the problem. But we can't always fix things, or else it'd be like 17th parallel: always trying to change things, but never actually playing/promoting them.
  23. Yes, a forum below this one and you'll notice Discretion, currently the only project that hasn't been abandoned and that shows a promising future. It can do basic things with a modified version of ASSS, but not yet play (only in offline mode). The rest on that Sourceforge search page are just vaguely or not related at all. Except Pspace, which is another client which was developed by Pyxlz a long time ago, but then faded out. It was and still is the only client capable of connecting to ASSS zones and display a graphical interface/ability to play. Unfortunately further releases were never made public, so the client's full potential is unknown. - The sourforge (which I hope Maverick will be able to finish up sometime) is intended to revive that project. There were other client attempts, but they came and went. Snnnrubspace was one of them, but it never got anywhere, let alone the source was neither released.
  24. And here comes Hakaku with a down-to-earth point: The point is... there is none. Winning, defending, what's the difference? You gain points and can't do anything about it. No credit system like before... Seriously, we're just boring ourselves chasing shiny objects with no value in the end. Neither are there leagues, or tournaments, or even a simple list of top players once in a while. Heck, we don't even have a functional website... and ASSS? All promises, no action...
  25. Opponet -Adding a new player opens a new window. -menu does nothing -using 'tab' is seriously messed up somehow -doesn't display goals afterwards
