I disagree entirely a name is very important. You only have to look at the money spent on branding by large corporations. Tbe amount of money spent repeating the name over and over and over to you. Every new product name you see advertised has been thought though very carefully by the marketing guys, down to the design of the fonts and text of that brand. Its all designed to sell you an idea, that you are buying into. I challenge you to name me a successful product with a name that is not distinctive and descriptive. For example there are really only 3 companies that make washing powder... "procter and gamble" and "unilever" and a 3d one can't rememeber They advertise what is essentially the same product under many different brand names. I suggest we keep both the "Continuum" AND "Subspace" brands - Subspace is the brand for the older experiernced player who "knows" this is the "real" game - Continuum for the young and smart player who knows better than the lazy vets I would argue we need to think of a better name than subspace or continuum and add it to our list of brands
Your better off trying to get more people to the game to play the existing zones. If we can rebuild EG/TW/DSB the population for other zones will also benefit.
I used to use virgin broadband A couple of things to bear in mind. Virgin uses CABLE. Sky uses ADSL. Cable has a higher latency. If you're in the UK a ping of around 90-120 is pretty average and normal. I recommend you uninstall Zone Alarm, you don't need it as the Virgin Broadband Cable box is a router as a built in firewall so its pointless, and it adds unnecessary lag. There have been some problems with the 50MB Virgin package by the looks of it... http://www.google.com/search?q=virgin+50mb+packetloss&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a
Given that record why where they allowed to drill at all? Its hardly a secret...I doubt its any differnt to other oil companies, they've all caused a mess, oil is a dirty business
A take on the situation now from the british press. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/inance/newsbysector/energy/oilandgas/7920085/BPs-evaporating-oil-slick-leaves-America-without-a-villain.html Punishing BP won't stop this happening again. Whats the US goverment doing to prevent another spill, thats the question that Obama doesnt want to answer?
BP = Beyond Petroleum. http://www.bp.com/extendedsectiongenericarticle.do?categoryId=9010453&contentId=7019612 I don't think it really matters. It could have happened to any of the oil companies, and it will happen again.
I'm currently working 60 hour/week and moving house next week, but once im settled, and works calmed down a bit, i should have some time to work on the project
