Acctually the price would probably stay the same...and the quality would go up Most of the cost of weed is down to it being illigal and thus being manufactured in an inefficent way (plus all the costs of smuggeling it around...dealerss cuts) The cost of producing cigarettes is around 2-3 cents per cigarette. I imagain weed would be in the same region pricewise..if not less as the canabis plant is easier to grow than tobacco. So the tax would probably be pretty reasonable, given that an ounce of weed is around $200...i suspect that could be reduced to like $20-30 once the illegality was removed...

2 people living together and combining their income will pay less tax than a married couple. That in my opinion is an incentive NOT to get married and a punishment to people who are married. Low income (sic, its not really "that" low) marriages are the ones where the amount of tax paid is going to be much more important. If you earn alot of money...paying alot of tax isnt going to bother you...plus you can normally get tax advisers to find loopholes or ways to save money 2. Which is why we have loads of people claiming "incapacity" benefit in this country because you can earn more from benefits than from a low paying job.

thats is essentially the problem in the UK. You can earn more by having babies and using the welfare system than by working....Theres a financial incentive I don't believe you. Link? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/4061560...tax-system.html my dad is an accountant and has also told this several years ago.....it seems only recently the media is catching up...its better not to get married for tax purposes (except if one of you dies...because then you can avoid inheritance tax by getting married, which is one of the reasons jade goody is rushing though her marriage)

No irresponsible is not teaching your kids about sex, contraception (any why this is important) and relationships...and responsibiltiy. I blame the parents of these children...not the children...if you read the stories in the paper the parents are basically now cashing in on this. The parents of these children don't care because they know the state will pay for everything. In our screwed up system the girl will now get her own house and and massive benefits (remember they are tax-free) totalling more than what i earn working. The system REWARDS this behavior...i dont understand why people are so surprised when it happens..theres a massive carrot there. Why work when you can have babies and be fed and clothed by the state instead...its an attractive alternative. Not to meantion in our scewed up country getting married makes you pay more tax....than if you are simply living together. With that kinda lack of moral authority from the state...not to meantion the very childish behavior of many of our politions and attitudes to aspects of society..we are simply seeing the results. Its these fucking baby boomers...the most selfish generation...They've scrwed up the enviroment, screwed up our financial system...screwed up our society......pretty much removed any sensible way of disiplining children...oh and we are gonna be pying higher taxies to pay for there medical care and pensions...when we retire we will be lucky to get a pension....IOts the same baby boomers who are running all these record labels and suing kids....same ones who have destroyed childrens television...same ones who want to CONTROL EVERYTHING (as long as they can still do what they want)...the same ones who contantly REWARD FAILURE....in the past they never rewarded failure like they do now...and its no wonder why we havn invented anything substanical after the internet...The worst thing is they ARE the biggest hypocrytics...they keep telling us we are the BAD people...we ARE out of country...we are runing the country...the truth is...you created this...who taught us how to be behave...you reap what you sow? Its gonna take years to put this mess back together and its gonna be us who have to do it. Our society is broken in the UK. But don't blame the kids...they didn't break it. But i have hope...the internet fills me with hope...you see so much creativeness from our generation and good things that we do.

You could always try my custom installer http://subspace2.net/Continuum040Setup-DocFlabby.exe Also try installing to a different directory (not in program files) eg. c:\Continuum

http://www.hopone.net/resellers.php It is for TW anyway... You can view the status of the routers on this site. http://nsssc.superb.net/status/corenet.php The problem may not necesserly be related to hopone it always shows massive packet loss (99.9%) That said there have been some issues realting to hopone reported recently http://forums.trenchwars.org/showthread.php?t=36123

Well the lesson from all this is simply to just to shoot them....Dead men can't sue and theres plenty of places to bury the bodies in an area that large...and because they are illegals...no will notice if they disappear... I'm not saying thats the right thing to do, but court cases like this make these options look much more attractive. so many things like this have "unintended concequences"

Have you checked with your isp...it could be a problem their end...if nothing has changed on your computer.

I'm at work so i can't view the video...but i think we share the same vision...or at least there is substancial overlap The engine should eventually support all sorts of perspectives and ways to control. Should be a pretty flexible engine. These features are ALREADY in the engine It also supports different perspectives other than top down. All the objects can be moved in 3D and rotated in 3D...Theres even a camera system of sorts (needs some work tho) Unfortunatly none of the recent demos so far have really showed off these features...as I've been focusing on trying to get the networking working....plus the server needs modifiying to support some of these features on the server side...I had been hoping to get more done by now but real life has annoyingly got in the way....

Unfortunatly real life has got in the way last few weeks...hopefully i will get some time to work on this soon...

2 points really. 1. He doesn't have to even be amazing,...just average and he will have done better than the last 8 years. 2. He's already done the right thing on guantanemo that was said to be "impossible" Not sure which way this site swings in terms of bias but its pretty cool. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/pr...s/promise-kept/ -
Once you've learnt one procedural/OO language, you've pretty much learnt them all, they just have different syntax. C/C++/C#/Delphi/Java/PHP/PERL/Python/Visual Basic. Are all pretty much the same. Ive coded in all of those. You get a bunch of functions (The operators on your calculator eg. + or sin/cos/tan) and variables (like memory locations in your calculator) You write code to initialise and manipulate the variables by calling functions to get the results you want. (ie typing into your calculator) There really isn't much more to it. The only real difference between your computer and your calculator is the number of functions and what those functions do. And when you code you can get the computer to repeat instructions or make choices based on the value of variables. Objects are just handy ways of keeping functions together (and manipulating functions). I would recommend starting with c# or Java as they are "easier" as you dont need to think about how the computer works so much. In C/C++ you have to do all dynamic memory allocation yourself. c# visual studio express 2005 is a really nice program to start with, and you're be able to code stuff that works on most computers. The great thing about visual studio is its excellent GUI development interface. Microsoft also have a C++ express version.

The same concerns are what drove me to use GPLv3 for SS2 (I wish to protect the code from being stolen and used in commercial projects) I shall look at this code with interest There is probably some substancial overlap with some of the code i've written (on the networking side) Plus SS2 will need a chatbox
-
It should work with sharpdevelop (but ive not testeD) If you go into the debugging settings for the project...Theres an option to turn off debugging for unmanaged code somewhere...i think you're need to change this as its using features the Express editions dont support Ah you need to copy SubspaceStack.dll (and other files in that folder) into the folder where it creates the exe.
-
Visual Studio 2005. If you just copy the subspacestack.dll into your bin/debug and bin/release folders it should run
-
Hopefully in the latest version i've removed bong6 and copygoal from the dependencies so it shouldn't complain about them. It doesn't need them to run. This sounds good...Something i could do with some help is actually how to make nice looking weapons...and a good way of storing the ship/slot/ability/weapons settings
-
The trunk is now up to date with my revisions. I've released SubspaceStack.dll on the site as a download (so you can download it there if you can't compile it) http://downloads.sourceforge.net/subspace2/SubspaceStack.zip I'd say we not quite got an alpha as i'd like to see weapons and other ships working properly, as i think that parts pretty important
-
Hey TC i've been kinda slack on this...im going to have to have a cleanup (it doesnt even need bong6.wav or copygoal.tga to run) and attempt to murge/merge the branches...and get the trunck sorted out....Ill try and do this today...
-
Ya end of 2009. Hoping to get a playerable alpha done by the new year
-
Started some work on this..can see other ships..but they laggy!

Sure thats against gay sex...but lesbian sex appears to be fine....but it doesn't meantion marriage....marrage/union/etc ceremonies existed way way before christianity came into popularity. If you read into the history of marriage and what purpose it acctually served in the past (essentially the sale of women for money/power), or indeed what purpose it serves now. One might be more dubious about extrolling its virtues. One thing people would do well to understand is that a legally binding contract is in no way a romantic gesture

I wish we had a public transport system where this would be a problem. If the buses went on strike where i live...no one would notice.

UK ISPs switch on mass Wikipedia censorship
doc flabby replied to rootbear75's topic in General Discussion
Acctually under the UK definition of Child Pornography it IS illegal. A very messed up law passed recently means the current definition in the UK gives no room for context (ie your children in the bath) or artistic licence. A image of a naked child of any age (under 18) is illegal. This by blocking the site they have prevented us UK users for accidentally breaking the law and risking a criminal record...i guess we should be thankfull..... Oh ya and this is coming into force in 2009 http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/12/09/ex...olice_confused/ -
Project hasn't died...just on the back burner for a number of reasons - I'm working flat out with riistar trying to finish the TWL website - Univercity is hitting me hard at the moment with work and parties. Still optimistic of a playable alpha by new year (i will have some quality coding time over xmas
