All those suggestions are stupid except freak's. You should gain turns at a rate of 2 turns per hour...maybe you should have a 1000 turn limit, but the problem is that people gain turns too quickly. There should be plenty of mercs in the pool, but an account population should be no more than 50% merc. Repair costs are a necessary annoyance. Too bad there's a limit to how many attacks a person can suffer. If the limit wasn't so strict, people could m!@#$%^&* their enemies if they could afford it. If for no other reason, repair costs are there to prevent people from picking on much weaker players.

As of 10 minutes after Rootbear kicked me off, I am #1 again. In news today came a suprise assault by the forces of the EBA. While initially unsuccessful, Rootenia forces attacked in multiple waves until they eventually had some small success. The act of somebody actually attacking Ailestan and successfully at that shocked the nation today, though not our dear leader. A draft was ins!@#$%^&*uted as well as the reserves called up, bolstering our military forces. After that was accomplished, Aileron addressed the people today as well as gave a warning to the EBA that they should beat their swords into plowshares and all that. Rootenia was unwilling to do so, so we sent some spies over and did the job for them.

GET OUT OF MY SEAT!!! There you go...back to #2.

Well, Ailestan does have a Persian like culture and does have a Stalinist government. I've even thrown in a taste of Mexican flavor with the "cultural awareness drive". I just can't really see anything in common between Ailestan and the US.

Reset will occur at the end of the month. That's still two weeks away. We aren't even halfway done yet. Now's the point in time where victory through strength of arms is impossible. Now, you people have to resort to teamwork and mobility if you want to win, because Polix can't save you yet. Your initial strategy of giving stuff to AceSpades was sound, just flawed. The flaw in the plan was that your biggest enemy is a covert specialist and AceSpades had sucky sentry. He didn't have those new weapons for three days before I sabbed them away from him. I've seen RPGs in which the leaders had a stronger hold than this. I've also seen those groups taken down, sometimes even by individuals. It just never works on the method of that individual trying to rise through the ranks and overpowering the leaders. Usually how it works is that the individual comes up with some cheap!@#$%^&* plan that takes the leaders by suprise. Ofcourse, I'm prepared for suprises too, so it won't work. All I'm saying is that you people aren't really showing any true resistance as of yet.

You act as if there is some kind of malice here. There actually isn't. What's causing this is a combination of the government's desire to get "the best of the best" and their lack of need to compete with anything. The fact that government agencies do not have to compete causes great innefficiency in all of their processes. There is no bar to which agencies' production is measured. In this case there is the FIAA, and we have no idea if another agency would have come up with another plan that would be better for everyone. There desire to get the best of the best actually hurts them. In this case, the government got the lawyers who graduated from college with the highest marks. In the last case about that stupid 4' 9" rule, they got the statisticans who had the highest marks in college. That's great, but such people have a tendency to live in their own world. Their goals in life are typically to eventually go back to college, get a PhD, and get a professor position. Your typical government agency is filled with a bunch of young people who are very smart in terms of their field, but very stupid as to what actually goes on in the real world. I was talking to my father about the 4' 9" recommendation, and he pointed out something that I had overlooked. I ask the moderator for forgiveness about my off-topicness, but it is only to show what is happening here. [moderator notice: off-topicness forgiven] The 4' 9" recommendation will likely be used by insurance companies to screw accident victims out of their money. There are probably several companies who already consider having children shorter than this height without a booster seat an act of negligence. Take a hypothetical example: A drunk driver in a truck hits a car driven by a mothery with her 16 year old 4' 7" daughter in the passenger seat. Both the mother and her daughter were wearing their safety belts and the mother was obeying all traffic laws. The drunk driver slams into the passenger side door, causing moderate damage to the vehicles and seriously injuring the passenger. Without that recommendation, the insurance company of the drunk driver would have to pay the costs of the vehicles and the health costs. However, with the recommendation, the insurance company has a legal case that the mother was 'negligent' because her daughter wasn't in a booster seat and would not be liable to pay the health costs. Now, my point is that the agency who released that recommendation weren't trying to screw families over. Nor were they catering to insurance companies (in this case). What happened here is that they had a bunch of overeducated statisticians and mathematicians who have little experience in the real world who don't live on planet Earth but rather in Mathmagicland. These people simply can't see the consequences of their actions in the real world. To them car accidents and insurance companies are objects in a foreign land that do not have a consequence on the math problem in front of them. Now, back to the topic of internet radio. I conjecture to similar to the aformentioned statisticians, the FIAA lawyers also live in their own world. To them, real-world practicality is an irrelevant concern. It simply does not occur to them that they are screwing small-time broadcasters or the entire industry for that matter. They see no need to compromise or create an agency that for instance could pool the resources of these small time broadcasters to pay the royalties. All the FIAA sees is technical legality. They see a legal problem, they solve it. The real world doesn't concern them.

News today is that there is no news. That's right...there is no news. Ailestan reigns supreme over all compe!@#$%^&*ors and no one has even attempted to attack our holy land in the past 24 hours, not that anyone would be successfull if they tried. There have been reports of possible hostiles building forces strong enough to stand against us, such as a defensive effort by AceSpades. This time he increased is covert skill level to a not pathetic but still easily breachable level 8. After one failed direct assault, our spies sabotaged half his defensive weapons and then we attacked him again for an easy 13 mil foloose. The country of Rootania has continued in its xenophobic tendencies of cultural intolerance. Not only have they not yet donned bath towels, but they are clearly pursuing a path of weapons development and potential hostile activity. The government reserves possible annihilation of the nation until it the forces of AceSpades and 3vil have been dealt with, but warns the infidel Rootbear that if he continues with his xenophobic aggression and cultural insults that he will meet a bad end. He also points out that the word "here" is spelled with only one "r". In an address today, Aileron told the people to remain vigilant. "Just because our enemies have seemed to have given up and run off does not mean they are not still out there." He said. "That is why we must pursue these infidels and fight them in their own lands." No official action has been taken against 3vil today, though indications from the government imply possible attacks against the infidel forces tomorrow.

Support him and you get smited.

The forces of AceSpades are decimated! Despite getting substancial reinforcements from multiple parties, a sucky lvl 6 covert skill is not nearly enough to keep out the elite agents of the Ailestani covert forces. After losing hundreds of weapons to our sabateurs, his remaining forces have naught to do but repent and pray that the SSCentralGods might be merciful. Only the forces of 3vil remain, and Ailestani stealth ops have already given them a visit, drawing first blood in what is predicted to be yet another very short one sided war. In other new today, the Department of Education of the Democratic People's Republic and Definitely Not a Theocratic Dictatorship of Ailistan has begun a cultural awareness drive, which promotes cultural awareness of the Ailestani culture in foreign lands. Under this new drive, we have civilians sneak into foreign countries by the millions and convince them to start speaking our language and to wear towels on their heads. If they do not immeadiately adopt our ways while in their country, we accuse them of being culturally intolerant. Already the Ailestani language has become the primary language in many foreign lands.

A tactical strike made by Ailestani forces today netted 20 mil foloose from AceSpade's stronghold. Aileron issued an offer of a truce to AceSpades today. If AceSpades only gives us all their money and if the entire population converts to the worship of the SSCentralGods, Ailestan will no longer take his money. In other news, the UN has accussed Ailestan of vying for world domination last week. For evidence they cited massive weapons buildup, incredible hostility towards neighboring nations, and Aileron's address last week in which he said "It is Ailestan's divine right to dominate the world!!!". This week the Office of Foreign Relations of the Democratic People's Republic and Definitely Not a Theocratic Dictatorship of Ailistan replied to the accusations, stating: "No, we aren't. Really. And these aren't missiles pointed towards you; they are artistic obelisks." No sooner than those unfounded accusations been made than a group of 2 million protestors who apparently have no jobs and nothing better to do with their time protested the UN. The leader of the protesters, Ima Bleedingheart, stated "Ailestan is just a misunderstood nation with a completely different culture. To them hostile addresses and troop buildups are their way of shaking hands." The protesters sent a party of 20 protesters to act as human shields should the UN take action. The Ailestani government captured the party and sent them on a sabotage mission.

By the way, the best way to do it at first involves increasing your UP all the way up to 21. That way you get as many troops as possible per 2 hours and your income increases. After that point, the only way to increase income is to buy mercs or go to the arcade. As for what military forces to buy, I'd recommend going for spy and sentry in this environment. The biggest offense and defense that are floating around are at 5mil strength, though this crowd comes up woefully short in terms of covert abilities. I'd also recommend joining a guild. Guild on guild wars are fun as !@#$%^&*. Besides, it helps to have some high-up friends in case somebody who's just a little stronger than you starts beating the !@#$%^&* out of you and needs some 'encouragement' to back off. Right now I'd recommend the Elite Beat Agents. The SSCentralGods are the best, but if everyone joined my guild this game would suck. Besides, its not the place for a newbie to build a reputation, because you will be forever stuck in the shadow of much better players. The forumkillers died when Chambahs quit before this game started, though it had a brief revival with Excel's #1 run, until he quit as well. The Pink Fluffy Bunny Clan is also in bad shape as Ducky quit and hasn't come back. However, by next week those two guilds will likely merge or form a tactical alliance, merely because I've pissed them off way to much for them to let me get away with it. After that happens the combined guild would also be a good guild to join.

Super Saver accounts pay you more interest. I actually use a super saver account to store a little emergency nest egg, because I won't be withdrawing from it that often and while my points are in there it grows a little. Generally, the free account is for "!@#$%^&* Ail is attacking hide the money real quick!" and super savers are for long term storage.

Another enemy of Ailestan has fallen! Excelia is defeated. However, rather than disband and surrender, they have joined the infidel army of AceSpades. The new united force is considerably stronger, yet Jarrish al Umam Ailestania engaged the new forces with overwhelming success, raiding for over 6 million foloose. Already the worship of the SSCentralGods is spreading throughout the lands of the infidels as the alliance of Ailestan, freakmongeristan, el Republico del Pico, and Davland score victory after victory. In celebration of this victory, the Office of Public Relations of the Democratic People's Republic and Definitely Not a Theocratic Dictatorship of Ailistan has scheduled a 9 hour and 59 minute prayer service. All citizens are required to attend, and those failing to show up for prayer will be sent on a sabotage mission.

I am not doing it on the 15 minute mark. Infact, I got on only three times today. However, you are correct in that you don't know how I do it. That's the benefit of a high sentry and covert. I know what all you guys have. I know when to hit you and how to hit you. I know when my offense is just short of your defense and when my defense is just short of your offense, so I know which of the two I should build up.
-
Excelia made yet another run for supremacy today. This time by means of an intelligence crackdown. After losing weapon after weapon to the Ailestan's clevar saboteurs, Excel has personally taken steps to ensure breaches of security would never happen again. However, this was to no avail, as our spies are well trained and adaptable. Our spies were able to sabotage his weapons regardless. The covert strike was followed by a tactical raid which was able to clear one million foloose. In other news, the Parliament of the Democratic People's Republic and Definitely Not a Theocratic Dictatorship of Ailestan voted today to divert the international aid which was going to feed the starving orphans into building another large statue of our dear leader Aileron. The proposal passed with a vote of 99-1, where the only vote against the proposal was made by Senator Achmed Babaganush. In completely unrelated news, the beloved dog of Senator Achmed Babaganush, "Rex", died today of spontaneous combustion. The tragedy happened not long after the Senator gave his controversial vote. The Department of Statistics of the Democratic People's Republic and Definitely Not a Theocratic Dictatorship of Ailestan, or DSDPRDNTDA cites that Spontaneous Canine Combustion, or SCC, is a completely natural occurance that is completely natural. One out of every 3 dogs in the world will die of SCC.

That's the logs of where others attacked you. Funny how you didn't show your attacks on others. Besides, we are the SSCentralGods - our word is beyond question. This part of it was where my Jarrish defeated the army of the lying infidel:

You only see your own stats.

Today was a glorious day for the nation of Ailistan! The forces of the infidel Polix has surrendered to Dav today. In a treaty signed in Polixtopolis today, Polix has placed Dav in command of all military forces. The sudden shift in power strengthens the position of the SSCentralGods alliance. A move against the infidel AceSpades occurred last night. AceSpades had been carrying out hourly attacks against allied nation freakmongeristan. After a call for aid, Jarrish al Umam Ailestania soundly defeated the infidel army while our agents engaged in glorious jihad against their weapons. Raiding by the infidel Rowen continued last night. The Ailistani defense forces fought them off valiently for 20 turns until they ran out of ammunition and Rowens troops slipped on by while our brave soldiers were reloading. The Democratic People's Republic and Definitely Not a Theocratic Dictatorship of Ailistan swore another round of retaliation upon Rowenia today only to find that the entire nation is in hiding. The nation of Excelia continues to be a problem today as they just won't go away. The Office of Public Relations of the Democratic People's Republic and Definitely Not a Theocratic Dictatorship of Ailistan gave an address this morning for the people of Ailistan to remain faithfull and resolute that we shall be victorious and our supremacy unquestioned in the future. In fashion news today, the Office of Public Fashion of the Democratic People's Republic and Definitely Not a Theocratic Dictatorship of Ailistan has passed a resolution allowing more freedom in the choice of bath towels wrapped around one's head. Formally, it was forbidden to wear a bath towel of a non-white color. Now, mulitcolored towels are permissible. Citizens are still required to wear towels on their heads at all waking hours, and random government raids will continue to ensure that all citizens have a towel wrapped around their heads while at home. Citizens found not wearing their towels will be sent on a sabotage mission.

It isn't like that this time around veg. That is, if you have a defence. You didn't have a defense because due to a game bug you lost it. I'm actually waking up in the morning pretty late to a full stash of points.

Extremist rabbis call for return of animal sacrifice
Aileron replied to 1587200's topic in General Discussion
Because less than 1% of the population agrees with them. (I'm not citing that as a statistical fact, but as a definition for 'extremist') -
This is off-topic. I thought the topic of this thread was to whine on how much of a mean !@#$%^&*hole I am. I'm not sure you got the whole story there. Varsity had 7 mil in the bank. He withdrew it to buy some weapons, but I hit him before he could do so. Hmmm, come to think of it, last time Ducky routinely hit me between the start of the turn and the 2 seconds it took for me to bank it. I hated it and whined about it, but I didn't quit. I've found the best players of this type of game aren't the ones who don't get hit. Everyone gets hit. What seperates the best from the average is that when a good player gets hit, he recovers faster and more effectively.
-
Honestly, the current income system is fine. Points for posts and points for arcade games as supplements is a good idea though. This sucks...I can't even attack Excel even though he only has roughly 3 times the size of my army.
-
You get points for playing in the arcade, but the cap is 10,000. There should be no cap. If you get a really high score you should get a lot of points for it. The RPG game isn't about payout per action, its about velocity or payout per minute. If I spend 40minutes earning 280,000 points, I'm actually not any better off than if I got 7000 points and lasted a minute. But, since there is a cap there I get 10,000 points instead of 280,000 per 40 minutes, which is much worse than doing 40 one minute games for 7000 each. The point cap only rewards !@#$%^&*ty playing.

He didn't fall into the defense trap. What he wanted to do was lead with defense, which is a decent tactic. It failed when his defensive weapons were erased by a bug. And he is correct that I lost a lot less. I led with covert and besides I keep some points on reserve for emergencies. I was much more able to recover from the setback than he was. If instead the bank conked out and I lost my reserve, I would have been the one who was screwed.
-
Actually, ignore Sama and just say no to messing with the weapons, atleast until the next reset. Regardless, the last time you tried it people lost weapons. Weak weapons have other disavantages as well. For instance, they break sooner. Besides, I actually like having a choice in which weapons I want to get rather than being forced to buy the best weapon.
