  1. I use it at points
  2. oh and drake if u want ur orginal dragon image (instead of the one i put in the top left corner) that you use in DCME and ur forum sig there i'll prolly need to get that image off you...
  3. They arent stolen, just modified... And they were included on my orginal SubSpace CD was for this very reason the gfx were for player made fan sites also
  4. Not with the jackpot no
  5. Really? i did it just the other day... No spawned flags and one flag tiled onto the map. If u get the fixed flag u run around as the flagger... but the fixed flag always stays there... just shows if u hold it or not. tho if the game resets u have to kill the person who was the flagger to get the flag again, so you cant pick up the fixed flag to get it again cos the flag doesnt reset, still considers the flagger to be holding the flag, which they are but it doesnt show anymore... in Trenchwars, 2 examples of this... ?go twsdx ?go turfjavs
  6. can we get a mysql db thrown in?
  7. Well then http://dcme.sscentral.com is a good idea as a permanent home for dcme and its files I can take care of that for you if u request the hosting from swft
  8. u know u could record the number in a flat-file database... everytime they download the update in ur queries to ur server make it open say stats.txt and take the number inside then + 1 and rewrite/overwrite the old entry... then its simple to either look at that file to see or write a php/asp script to show it or even better (imo if u have a sql server do it via sql)
  9. Yes thats what i ment with the selection/textbox area... ----- if you had read this... Some people dont know much about LVZ or even want to know, this is for those who just make maps and usually write stuff with tiles...
  10. Looking good np for the tileset i just grabbed it from cont dir... its kinda old bmp... Oh and just a thought, how about Defining the work area? Like drawing a selection but the selection is actually a textbox area? Then you do ur typing in prompt and spaces, line breaks etc are then formatted to fit that textbox area? Oh and dont forget 0 - 9 number tiles! ^_^
  11. You could opt for both, but as default the top 2 rows are reserved for alpha and numeric tiles... I think that defining those 2 rows will help set a "Standard" for tilesets.
  12. http://www.riistar.org/twsdx.bmp As an example... most tilesets place Letters and numbers across the top 2 rows, and have a couple of extra characters like the - (dash) and ! or ? etc which fills up the entire 2 top rows...
  13. I figured most people thought the same Just a Future implimentation... no rush
  14. Ok, so most tileset have the alphabet and usually 1-10 numeric tiles in them. Now i know u have the text to tile function, but what if u could define which tiles are your Alphabetic/Numeric ones? This could perhaps standardize tilesets. This could be done by say reserving the top 2 rows for Alphabetic/Numeric tiles. Or allow the user to define the rows/areas of their Alphabetic/Numeric tiles? From which when you want to write something with these tiles you basicly do what you do now with Text to tile, but it references the tiles and uses those tiles to write each letter? I dont know if this could end up being a slow function, but most ppl will agree if you are goin to write alot (Arena rules/game style) with tiles its very painstaking and slow process. And this is disreguarding using LVZ to place an image instead.
  15. Lol i just got a new 120gig HDD and im using like 21gig of it It could be it was read only but it shouldnt have been, i made a new map from scratch then saved it and closed DCME... i uploaded map and it was blank... looked at file it said 0 bytes, then opened it from DCME and it had nothin... Tried editing another map and it did the same, when saved it saved a blank map. Proberly be more helpful if i can recreate what i did/enviroment.
  16. Not that i know of, but if i do encounter the problem again i'll take note of what i did before i saved the map...
  17. I actually have no clue why/how it happened... And yes i checked the file properties to see its size and it was 0 bytes. Even tried Save As but it still wrote no data. I overcame the problem by extracting DCME to a new folder, i thought perhaps the filepath was too long. But the old filepath was c:\DCME the new one is longer c:\BackupDrive\Continuum\DCME so i guess thats not it. It now saves properly, it could have been a file compatibitly problem since i switch between DCME, CLT and SSME (on occasion) ?? If i do have this problem again i'll try getting more info.
  18. It seems thats my version of DCME (Lastest Update) wont let me save any maps... Says that it saves supposedly and when you open it again it has no map! Zero data? Great looking editor btw, id use it alot if it saved my maps
