Yep the second message gave me 1 new message and was displayed in the new message pop-up. Also when i read and deleted it it went back to 0 new messages.

I recieved and the message popup came saying "you have no new messages" lol. I clicked the top-right link saying 0 new messages and the message was in the inbox. I clicked it and read it and then deleted it. Now it stays at 0 new messages. So i assume its fixed.
