What is this, another epilogue for 17th? This is like 10th time...

Very true. Especially about 17th's ICBM weasel. I hated that !@#$%^&*ized ship, but it was my "favorite nme".......little !@#$%^&*hole. But nonetheless, one zone is gaining pop while the rest are losing it. And this has been a trend since the zone first came out a few months ago. The name is Fusion. Its a ctf zone that has a strong core of players and a great community. Basic gameplay, basing, no !@#$%^&*holes like ice returns in it either. And a great staff as well. The zone is still growing gathering new players and events. Maybe we all can take a few hints from this zone on how to keep the other zones from dying out or losing pop. The main thing I can see is that the staff there is very interactive with the general pop. One of the zones creators, JEP/Blazen, is there almost all the time taking part in things and helping new comers out. So other zone staffs, take a hint from this guy. INTERACT WITH THE PLAYERS!!

Complex is a good idea, we tested it in 17th as a pub as some might remember. But since 17th was in its declining days then, Complex did not work out so well. It was designed to be its own zone. So now that it is, it can be a great zone where a lot of action goes on. Do go check it out!!

Apple, the argument "was" that MTN never showed up any time and never really knew what the !@#$%^&* was going on in 17th. But that "was" the argument, makes no sense anymore to argue about it. Delic is the HSysop now and we get to see whatever he does with the zone. Just sad to say I along with a lot of others are not going to come back because we all have gotten older and have moved on to college or have made families or whatever we did with our lives. This game was what we did during our lowly High School lives, and that was pretty much it. But it was good while it lasted.

Ok, Creamy said the bots up and running, yet theres been no one in 17th for the past day... as far as i could tell, whenever i check it always says 0 like usual on my zone list...

Yea, having a movable flag for point gain is a great idea. If people get bored of playing soccer they can go play for points to buy bounce and such. This also should promote killing too. Or we could get rid of the maze, and put a small base right in the middle of the arena and have the flag in that base. So people would always be in the middle there, and if theres a ball game goin on the baller would have to p!@#$%^&* near that base where people are getting the flag and the two games, flag and balling, will intertwine there. It would keep everyone involved rather than before with having the flags up north completely separate from the ball game.

Exactly, but thats going to be the biggest problem in any online game. Just gotta advertise, and continuosly make new add-ons to keep people interested. Subspace is a great community, the thing is, communities need to change and grow to survive.

No one uses Linux, I didnt even know what it was until last year!! And SS's pop is going down for the sole fact that people get bored of it. There is no advertising of the game whatsoever, and I find that surprising because all that needs to be said about the game is that its cool, a shoot the !@#$%^&* out of someone else in a ship in space, and ITS FREE!! Thats why I dont play WoW is because I hear it costs $15/mth to play. Now thats just fuking stupid, who pays $15/mth to play a game, I dont give a !@#$%^&* that 7 million people do and that its a cool game. Thats just a plain waste of money. It makes about as much sense as buying Madden 07 when you already have Madden 06!! Lol, got a bit off topic there. But yea, there just needs to be better advertisement of the game. And the best advertisement is the word of mouth. Friends trust friends about things like this, so simply spread the word.

We need a complete overhaul of 17th if this is to be done. Since MTN isnt doing anything because he doesnt even know whats going on, we need to break apart from 17th Parallel and make a completely new zone of our own where we dont have to wait for MTN. Seriously this is ridiculous, its going to take forever for him to finally just give Delic the HSysop spot. Now, seeing that its a soccer based zone, we need to keep it that way. The maze is always a focal point for 17th, so we should keep that as well. Make new East west bases, or North South bases, or some sort of base around goals. We should also look at other zones for ideas as well. For example Fusion uses a jackpot system to keep the game going for good amounts of time. The teams there dont flag and win the game as fast as they can, they sometimes purpsosely nute flags to allow the jackpot to build up. We can do this with Soccer, where we have a jackpot that builds up and the first team to 5 pts or wins by 2 pts wins the jackpot, and the teams wont try to win the game as fast as possible so they can get a good sized jackpot at the end. By doing this we will have longer games, and longer games allows for larger pops to build up. And seriously if somethin is to be done with 17th, it needs to be a complete restart. Erase everything and start over, keep a few things like Rumble and dueling ya know. That obvious stuff, but ya get my drift. Oh, keep the spree stuff, everyone liked that, and dont keep resetting the !@#$%^&*ed thing too. Whatchya all think of that!!

MTN wont hire anyone for a very long time because he doesnt do anything anyways. Hes a fat guy in Canada who owns a gun, cmon... Now lets all get our heads back on straight and jump over to Fusion where the fun !@#$%^&* is goin on, and where the owner is actually on EVERYDAY!! Guys names JEP, pretty cool dude. Guys should seriously go check it out.

The site hasnt been worked on for years. Devine left well over a year ago, maybe even 2 years ago. And it doesnt matter anyways, no one goes there, and no ones ever in 17thParallel anyways. This is pointless blaming of pointless !@#$%^&*.

Oh....right, I guess thats why the last time I saw him Complex was still the pub map. Just go check out SSI Fusion. Its a good up and coming zone.

Been in the zone for goin on 4 years now. Never seen MTN do anythin besides pop into the zone for a quick jaunt every 6-8mths. I honetsly dont think he really "owns" anything, so just give Delic HSysop and watch, MTN wouldnt even know about it because he doesnt do anything, unless someone tells him of course. But thats the point if no one tells him he wont know anything....

I say if a new version is to come out, it should be 3d, in order to entice new players to come in. The game is 10 years old, somethin needs to be done to not make the gameplay look like its from 10 years ago too...

Either that or have the 17th Finale night I brought up couple weeks ago. One final night everyone comes back and at the end we shut 17th down. But since Delic is becoming HSysop it looks like 17th will mingle along for lord knows how long with 5-10 people in it.
