People who spout racism on SS do it simply to generate controversy, and for the shock value. I don't know about anyone else, but for me, seeing people going wild and crazy with those terms is kind of outdated. These are guys typing those terms for the sake of typing them. No other motivation. Yet these same people are the ones who walk around their neighborhoods, shoulders hunched, afraid to make eye contact with anyone. Whether or not they are racists is irrelevant. They see the internet (more specifically, ss in this case) as an outlet for what they are too afraid to say in real life. These are the people who only speak their minds in text form, on flat screens. If you put everyone in ss in a single room, no screens, then you would be able to tell the difference between those who are stubbornly stupid, and those who are chill. These fellas have more insecurities than the average individual, and as their insecurities manifest themselves in the form of vulgar or "shocking" comments, not necessarily directed towards particular individuals. And if they are targeting certain individuals, it is for one reason: those individuals represent that which the "racists" fear, but want to be. Of course, I expect every "racist" to disagree with that !@#$%^&*ertion, and disagree loudly. The fact of the matter is, their willingness to annoy or shock or anger people is directly related to their own insecurities. !@#$%^&*onearth is probably too willing to ban people, but !@#$%^&*, I'd be willing to ban people who go out of their way to test my patience. The aggression is necessary sometimes. Plus, I don't know DS staff, so I could care less about how they operate, but in this case, I would have probably done the same thing. And root, you went in there knowing what happened to the last person who did the #nic thing. Did you really think that testing the patience of a particularly volatile staffer even more would generate a different reaction?

The fact of the matter is, any Midwest state owns all those pretentious East and West Coast states. Whether it be Minnesota, ND, or Iowa (GO HAWKS), the midwest has more character. Plus, we are less likely to be targets of terrorism.

This forum is "MAINLY" for Continuum/SS. You can have different topics which have different things on here, but half naked girls are not one of them. If you want it back up so badly, talk to Polix about opening it under some cir!@#$%^&*stances and then you can talk about women all you want. I'm not talking about the entire ssforum.net site. I am talking about the SPAM Lounge. The way I see it, the SPAM lounge is an area where people can make whatever thread so long as it is abiding by the few rules in the SPAM lounge. Besides, the showing of half naked women was inspired by the showing of half naked men in the men thread. Frankly, I think people but the female body on a pedestal. freakmonger is one of those people. Personally, I was having a neat time with the conversation on that women thread. Now that the SPAM lounge of all places feels a bit restricted, this place is kind of, bleh. Remember, this is a SPAM LOUNGE, and the standards for decency in this particular area of the ssforum.net site are not that high. And NO, I am not crying. Just stating my opinion on the function of the SPAM lounge.
