actually I just checked the top 5 zones sorted by population right now @ 4:30pm on a Saturday and every one of the zones do have someone in the council representing their zone (and all have 70+ players in them). So I guess you could scratch the zone owners from it as they are already on the council. I guess my argument is more that the ssc server owners and dev ops should be added to the council as they give the most to the community and have little to no "say so" in what direction the game takes.

I thought the conversation turned saying that server owners, zone sysops and dev ops could vote on council members or have SOME input in the future the game takes. server owners: SSC Server Owners (and if there is a server owner that abuses etc then they shouldn't be on SSC) zone sysops: Zone Owners on SSC with max population over 70 dev ops: real dev ops like d1st0rt, maverick, cerium, admiral kirk, catid, 50%, ppl who make cores not just plugins. I know their are a few more players that dev cores or help maintain cores but I can't name them all. What i'm saying is joethenewb who makes plugins for SSC The Newbies with a max population of 30 doesn't need a say in the future of this game. By following these guidelines that would ensure every swinging !@#$%^&* isn't on the council but it does get "new blood" involved. i'm sure some of you will disagree with me and more than likley post a poorly thought out flame attempt, but I really don't care

I think the whole "dutch" thing comes up because most of your "upperstaff" (owner, sysops,smods) are dutch. Actually, what dutch staff member(s) arn't part of the upperstaff?

Best way to correct this whole "issue" is just don't enter the zone. Posting here will solve nothing.

The "updates" IMO would be security only, so no new ships, weapons, etc. *this is just IMO Only*

the problem is there will be no 'recruiting' council members :/ They have who they want now and it'll stay like that until a lot of them actually quit (and even then I would be suprised to see them bring more ppl into the council). Who was the last person that got put on the council & when did that happen?

Actually 'ticking' a players name to do a ban is how a lot of ppl get banned on accident (if they arn't caught in the banned players ip range).

then setup your own zone. Any monkey with an internet connection and access to shanky.com/server can setup their own zone.

Yes he has been banned in MG for awhile because he would spam links to cheats for continuum on the forum and in the zone.

Well I really don't want to get off topic but I like catid's biller better than the SSC one with the different Squad Features.

People want on SSC because most of their 'friends' are in other SSC zones. So they need their ?chats. The better suggestion is to get the ?Chats to work across non ssc zones rather than that annoying message.

Exactly. The council looks at the server ops when it comes to a server getting SSC. That has nothing to do with the zone owners. And yes Polix, those two are the server ops. Steig told me budweis0r is Mrs Perkins, but I still have a hard time believing that.

The 'main' thing holding it up is that the SERVER doesn't even have access to the SSC Biller (last I was told). So first the server has to get approved. Would have been better to go with a server that was already connected to the SSC Biller.
