Not sure how much work it would be to implement these kind of formats ingame, though... I'm guessing you need some kind of library to load it in the environment or something? It says Misfit Model 3D is OpenGL-based, so I'm guessing that should be pretty easy If I try one of them I'll give some feedback

Sounds cool, I'll try it out when a server is up and all that. And yes, DCME updates via a specific website, though not hard-coded since a few versions... You can specify a different update path, but it's pretty useless unless sscentral.com blows up. The update system of DCME sucks overall, though I might take a look at how you did it, could be interesting.

ms3d are milkshake files... any free editor that support them? Just downloaded milkshake to find out it required a license. Yes I know I could crack it... But I try to use free alternatives when I can And searching something with 'free' in google is not an option...

That's pretty much the point... to prevent monkeys to abuse the system. I wouldn't be surprised if monkeys are the ones claiming most names. Of course, by monkeys, I'm talking about people with not much knowledge about these things. I think it's safe to assume that less than 20% of people would know how to bypass an IP/MID check. Perhaps a bit more for IP, but MID requires a few more steps. You're talking about linking aliases together, right? Or you're talking about the actual username database... which... wouldn't make much sense anyway... Or I missed something important lol
